It was one of those days that I decide to find a buddy of mine for lunch. And him knowing how much I love my pork, decide to bring me to this place to give it a try. Romantically situated next to the Batu River where you can watch rubbish floating by as you eat, the Riverview Small Village Restaurant was packed when we got there. Took the restaurant 10minutes before they found a place for us to sit.

As there’s only the two of us having our lunch, we didn’t really order a lot of dishes. Just some simple dishes for lunch. Starting with the Sizzling Japanese Toufu which when served was still piping hot and the texture was nice, soft and tasty to the bite.

The 2nd dish is the Stir Fried Rommaine lettuce or Yau Mak, sweet and crunchy to the bite. Can’t comment much about it as it’s just vegetable.

The highlight of the day is of course the Claypot Braised Pork. Wonderfully prepared, practically melts in my mouth when I devour it. The portion that was served for 2 person was just nice, but I suspect that’s cause I ate most of it.

One problem with the place is, parking is always an issue as there’s only a small space for cars to park but most people would just double park and be alert to other customers wanting to leave after their meal. They closes on Wednesdays so that’s the one day you can avoid the place.
