I’m sure by now, you would realize that the Subaru BRZ and the Toyota GT-86 look quite identical and in fact, they are! Since Subaru and Toyota join ventured into developing this new ride together. Just make you think back to when the AE86 came in two variants, the Levin and the Sprinter Trueno. Two boasting the same power plants with Subaru already announcing that the BRZ will replace the Legacy B4 as the GT300 contender for the coming new season of the SuperGT.

Will Toyota be doing the same and field the Hachiroku in the next SuperGT season as well? Anyway, all that will definitely be revealed soon but for now, let’s check out some videos from youtube. Starting with a video of the GT-86 being revved. (more…)

Nokia Lumia Live. Nokia lights up London with an amazing 4D projection and deadmau5

Now, I’m no big fan of Nokia, somehow never like their phone from the start but heck, this is one awesome launch campaign they did in the UK. Definitely worth watching over and over again. According to the information on their Youtube page. On Monday 28th November Nokia Lumia 800 with Windows phone brought deadmau5 and the world’s most advanced 4D technology together and created an amazing free light show at Millbank Tower, London.

Millbank was plunged into darkness with the iconic tower acting as the canvas for a never-before-seen spectacular. Each of the 120 metre high building’s 800 windows were covered with vinyl as 16 powerful projectors, stationed 300 metres away on the other side of the river, beamed 3D images onto the structure. Huge butterflies flew across the London skyline and the tower was twisted, pulsated and even fell down. Billed as the “future of live events” the spectacular show was accompanied by music from super producer deadmau5, who created exclusive remixes for the performance — adding the 4th dimension.

How many of you like this song by Beyoncé simply titled Listen? It’s one of those songs that I tend to play alot in my iPod. Maybe because the lyrics speaks of how I feel yet no one seem to listen.

What do you think of the photo above? What Waiyan and I wanted to portray in this image is exactly as what we hear from Beyonce’s lyrics. Here’s a video from Beyoncé’s performance at the GRAMMYs for you to enjoy and the lyrics to the song below the video. (more…)

RIP Marco Simoncelli + Video of the Crash

Posted By Michael Yip / October, 23, 2011 / 0 comments

Just received confirmation that Italian MotoGP rider, Marco Simoncelli, succumbed to injuries after the bad crash at the start of the Malaysian GP. Race has since been red flagged and cancelled. Here’s a look at the crash that took the life of this young rider.

His bike veered across the track and straight into the path of Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi. The race was immediately red-flagged. Simoncelli lay stricken on the track after the crash, his helmet having come off during the incident. He was taken by ambulance to the circuit’s medical centre, but at 16:56 it was announced he had succumbed to his injuries. Simoncelli had been fourth at the end of lap one.

Within a span of a week, the Motorsports fraternity lost 2 great athletes. A week earlier, the Indy 500 champ, Dan Wheldon lost his life after his car hit another vehicle at breakneck speeds in the Las Vegas Indy 300. The father-of-two was catapulted helplessly into the air in a 225mph smash before landing on a barrier and suffering fatal head injuries.

Will these two accidents be a wake up call to both the Indycar teams and the MotoGP teams to look at what needs to be done to ensure that the drivers and riders respectively are more protected?
