Analytics360 on WordPress

Just installed the Analytics360 plugin into my WordPress and all I can say is, It’s AWESOME! I’m not sure about you but I do find it a chore to check my Google Analytics on Google but with this plugin, that problem is solved. If you’re a MailChimp user, this also works for you as well. By pulling data directly into the dashboard, I basically am accessing the robust analytics tools without leaving WordPress.

An overview of what it could do according to the WordPress Plugin Directory (more…)

New Layout & Theme

I’ve finally decided that once and for all, it’s time to change the way my site looks. After alot of browsing around for that right theme, I finally found one that I feel would be suited to what I wanted to do.

Here’s how my old theme looked like, this theme has served me for a good 3 years now and as we move into the fourth year of this blog (I started the blog in October 6, 2006, on my birthday), I decided that a change definitely is on hand. But it was quite hard cause I was unable to find ‘the right’ theme that I should use. (more…)

Bye Bye GeoCities

According to BBC News, Yahoo is pulling the plug on Geocities. A Service Yahoo bought for $3.57bn at the height of the dotcom boom in 1999. The Free Website hosting service, Geocities, had to come to an end sooner or later.

I still remember back then, GeoCities is one of the service to go to if you want to have a website for yourself and don’t want to pay for it. Even though it’s a free web service, it’s easy to use interface still could rival some of the off-line web editing software to help you build a nice looking website. (more…)

My Wordpress Plugin

I’m no wordpress plugin author so when I say my wordpress plugin, I’m not talking about plugins that I wrote for wordpress blog but more of the plugins that I have in my blog which I find useful and like to share with anyone who’s curious. Links to the respective plugins are also included so you could also download the plugins for yourself.

Just a quick note for those that’s not sure how to install the plugin, just download, use your fav. FTP program (I uses FileZilla that ShaolinTiger recommended to me) and upload it into your plugin folder (…/wp-content/plugins) and then activate it through your wordpress admin (…/wp-admin/plugins.php). Just look for this icon if you’re not sure what I’m talking about.

Akismet: http://akismet.com/

Automattic Kismet (Akismet for short) is a collaborative effort to make comment and trackback spam a non-issue and restore innocence to blogging. It isn’t 100% foolproof but for what it was designed to do, it still produce good work to keep spam away from my blog. It’s intuitive enough to mark some comments into a spam folder just in case the comment isn’t really a spam so I could look at it and approve it or permanently delete it at my own convenience.

CommentLuv: http://www.commentluv.com/

CommentLuv enabled me to reward my blog readers by leaving a link to their latest post automatically whenever they comment thus encouraging more comments by more people on more posts! It definitely helped me to increase traffic to my site as well to the people who comments on mine. Only Relax find problem with it on my blog as commentluv wouldn’t recognize his link, aside from that, most commentors that commented on my blog have their link posted unless they opt not to. So do drop me some comments and see your link posted here to encourage others to visit your blog as well. At the end of the day, it’s a win-win situation which is healthy in promoting one another. Right?

For Blogger users, do not fret as they also provide the service for Blogger/Blogspot platform. You can find it at http://www.commentluv.com/download/blogger-commentluv/. You’ll need to use the JS-kit commenting system on your blogger blog, you will be able to use CommentLuv Blogger and start enjoying the benefits of being able to add something unique and valuable to your visitors experience. New Stuffs for 2009

Just a quick one here as I’ve just updated my blog’s wordpress to the new 2.7 “Coltrane”.

I’ve also taken this opportunity to change the theme. You can say that for 2009. I’d like to kick off the year with something new. In your honest opinion, what do you think?

As most of you know, I’m a wordpress noob so I try not to mess around with my blog’s theme and stuff too much in case I mess it up and start asking for help.

Originally, the blog’s theme looked like this and I had it on for a year now. Just figured that it’s a good time to go for a change. That’s why now it looked like what you see it. Do let me know what you think of this new theme.

Blog’s New Look!!!

Do give me your honest opinion, what do you think of this new blog skin?

Decide to finally step out of Wordpress.com into a dedicated host for my blog, I can now run Nuffnang as well as some other stuff which I couldn’t do previously.

The one man I’ve to thank is none other that ShaolinTiger, after I’ve gotten my host details from the hosting company, it took me awhile to try and figure out how all this things work at the same time not affecting whatever stuff I’ve done. Of course, with work and all, I couldn’t really concentrate on getting it fixed. So I turned to none other than ShaolinTiger himself for help.

Thank God ST said sure, just send over your details and we’ll see what we can do and within 15 after I send my details over to him, he told me over chat that “Dude, your site’s up!”

I was like “WHAT? that’s bloody fast!”. Jumped straight into my domain and the visual that jumped to me is the new theme I’ve gotten instead of the wordpress.com one.

WOO HOO!! Now I can do more stuff to the blog and the other good thing is I CAN RUN NUFFNANG!!!!

Last word! Thanks again ShaolinTiger for helping me with this and NUFFNANG! SERVE ME ADS!!!!!

Also, the other thing is, do let me know what you think of this new design? Like it? Hate it? Suggestion to Improve it? Do feel free to share with me your thoughts on this blog theme.
