The Queen & Mangosteen

2 Sundays back, I met up with @Joshuaongys and @Tiffanietty to have a nice lunch to celebrate Tiffanie’s birthday. The restaurant of choice? The Queen & Mangosteen. A British themed pub styled outlet in Vivo City.

Initially when we got in, it was quite bad as no one ushered us from the entrance and despite us standing around for a good while, no one seem to come up to us and ask us whether we were there for food or drinks. We ended up having to find a place for ourselves to seat and wait for awhile more before I actually stop one of the waitress as she walked past to ask her to clean up the table and get us the menu.

It’s been awhile since I last ate at Marche, it was so long ago that I can’t remember what I ate there but I’m sure the one I had at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara is similar to the one at Vivo City.

It was a nice day when I could spend a nice quiet day and head to somewhere nice for dinner. The venue of choice? Marché Movenpick Restaurant @ Vivo City. (more…)

Hogs Breath @ Vivo City

This should have gone up some time back but haven’t got around to do it. There had been talks about this place known as Hogs Breath and there was on located at Vivo City. There’s live band entertaining all the patrons of the restaurant but one thing I’d like to say is that, they started off nice but as the evening draws on, they start to get louder and louder. Basically it was just so noisy that we had to go off rather than hanging around to enjoy a few pints of beer. (more…)

Vivo City

Friday night, StrippedSteph finished her work, got home just as I came out of the bath. Did some censored nonsense abit before deciding to head off to Vivo City to hopefully catch a movie and do some shopping while I’m down.

And so off we went, it was 6pm and rush hour as loads of people get off work and was heading home. As for us, our target was Vivo City. Even though I have been walking the whole day going from one office to another for meetings, I’ve still got energies to spare! I was less sick here too, flu was barely there and my cough was much more under control.

As soon as we reached Vivo City, we decide to grab some healthy dinner and head straight for Subway. What I had was the Subway Club. Turkey Breast, Ham, Bacon and loads more, I only know there’s 4 types of meat in it laced with a dash of lettuce and onions with loads of mayonaisse. It’s perfect! Top this up with a nice warm cup of Earl Grey. Just nice for me.

After a nice healthy dinner, we went on our walk about Vivo City, the last time we came here, we brought some stuff and surveyed the place about. This time around, we told ourselves, no buying stuff. Just come and grab the Samsonite bag then head on home! Well, that’s what I remembered but then…. all that was smashed to smitherins! (more…)
