Arsenal Asia Tour 2011 – Photos of the Malaysia vs Arsenal game

Arsenal came, had a go at the Malaysian National team, wooed the crowd and left. Did they achieve their goals? The marketing side of things, I believe so and I believe the same will happen with Liverpool and then Chelsea as these teams gets in one after another to win over the hearts of their fans and to win more fans. What about the match? As a football fan, I would say the match between Malaysia and Arsenal disappointed me.

Did I expect the match to be as boring as it was? No, I expected the Malaysia Tigers to give the Gunners a run for their money especially after their fantastic performance at the AFC Suzuki Cup recently and the Gunners wasn’t at their best either. That is not to say it’s not to be expected as this would be one of the first matches they played together after taking a month off since the end of last season but still, I definitely expected much more. Touring Kota Kinabalu, Sabah

Early in the year, I decided to take a break from work and go somewhere for a few days. Thanks to Fireflyz (Yes, I got complimentary flight tickets to go there courtesy of FireFlyz), I could pull this off. Told some of the clients that contacted me during that period that I won’t be free and then within a week, planned where I was planning to go and then whoosh! I was off.

One thing about traveling alone was that I can just pack a few stuff and just go off without much consideration, truthfully, I’d prefer to travel with a companion as I’d then get to share what I’m experiencing with another person. Oh well, hopefully I’d find someone who’d love to travel on a budget with me next time around. (more…)

Day 3 of our tour was quite a short one. We skip the morning tour so we could relax by the beach and the pool before we head off to the tour that was planned for us. The tour operator picked us up at noon to bring us off to Lahbagga Restaurant for lunch overlooking a vast paddy field plantation.
