Roast Duck @ Loong Foong Seafood Restaurant

After eating at Sunrise Duck at Seapark for a number of time now, I decide to bring Stephenie to another famous restaurant where people just lined up in droves to buy Roast Ducks. That place was known as Loong Foong Seafood restaurant located just about 15minutes walk from Sunrise. The place operates only at night but you can see people lining up to buy ducks there from as early as 5ish. I used to be one of them who would go there to buy on the way home from work.

Got ourselves a nice place to sit and proceed to order half a duck with a simple plate of vege. It took them about 5min before serving us our food which is quite ok looking at the amount of people waiting in line for their take-away. (more…)
Punggol East Sun Rise
Whenever I visit StrippedSteph in Singapore, I’m always intrigue by the greens that’s available all over Singapore. At the place she stay, there’s more green around the place compared to what I can see in Kuala Lumpur.

Landscape photography in a way is very new to me, but I guess it’s something that’s easy to learn. It’s all about being at the right place at the right time and knowing the frame that we want to see the images in. After doing some research and talking to people, I realized some of the places actually produced very nice photos of Sun Rise and Sun Set. I decide to take this chance to check out this place they call Punggol End one early morning without waking her up to go capture some sun rise, these is what I manage to get. (more…)
Virgin Dawn Experience
The last couple of days, I’ve been posting up a lot of first, from Sunset to landscapes to HDRs to Moon. Today, here’s a sun rise photography first for me. Waking up early in the morning just to go catch the morning sun rising over the horizon. It’s not the easiest of thing do, try dragging yourself out of the bed at 5 in the morning and start getting ready to head out to the location. It ain’t easy!

Sunrise Duck Revisit
StrippedSteph and I decided to revisit the famous Sunrise Duck Restaurant in Seapark. Told Joshuaong about it at the mamak session and ask him to bring his other half along. It was a Saturday and 11.30am was the time we arrived at the restaurant. We thought that it would be packed on a weekday, boy, it was super packed even at 11.30. We were lucky to find ourselves a table.

Joshua told us he’ll be late so without waiting, we decide to order half a duck to start off as appetizer. The standard I normally order would also come with a plate of vegetable and 2 large bowl of soups as I love to drink soup. (more…)
Duck Rice @ Sunrise Restaurant
It was one of those days where the sudden mood for Duck Rice came about and the few of us, Freaky, StrippedSteph, SpongeNicole and I head over to Sunrise Restaurant in Seapark for a nice round of Duck Rice.

Now the first thing that caught our attention when we reach that place was that it’s freaking packed at 12.30pm! I normall go around 11ish so I never knew there would be such a crowd at that time. Nevertheless, send out my ’scouts’ to the various tables to ensure we have a higher probability of getting a place to seat and within 15minutes, we manage to get one, near the entrance.

Next task was ordering our food and after informing the waitress that we want 1 Duck for 4 people, we were told that there’ll be a 20minute wait. Looking over at the place where they chopped up the ducks, I can see the reason for that, the earlier batch of ducks we saw was already sold out by then. Some wait and some chit chat goes by and our duck was finally served.

NO MORE DUCKS!!!
While eating, overheard the owner of the place informing the customers that there’s no more ducks and had to start turning away customers that is still flowing in at 1.30pm! That’s how sought after the ducks are at that restaurant.

If you’re interested to go for duck rice, do check this place out.
