StrippedSteph’s Birthday Surprise @ Graze Restaurant

StrippedSteph’s birthday just passed and to myself, one of the best thing that I could pull off was the place to bring her for dinner to celebrate her birthday. She has been bugging (more like interrogate) me where I’m planning to bring her for dinner and my only answer to her was … “KFC”. That answer naturally get her pissed off but hey, who would want to tell the VIP where they have arranged for the dinner right? After all, that’s what we call SURPRISE! Right?

Anyway, the place of choice was this little restaurant known simply as Graze. Located at Rochester Park, it’s definitely a place she didn’t expect me to bring but the one thing that is priceless to me is her look when she saw the place when we stepped into the restaurant. (more…)

Food from the Nuffnang Asia-Pacific Blog Awards

For those of you who didn’t go for the NAPBA, you must be wondering what type of food we had. Whether Nuffnang only fed us Pringles the whole night or there’s other type of food. Well, guess no more. Here’s what we ate. We started off with some plain water and a piece of bread per person.

About 30min into the event, Marinated Smoked Tuna with Feta, Herb Salad and Balsamic Olive Oil was served. (more…)

Malaysian Bloggers Jumping into the sunset

What do you get when you have a nice sunset in the background and a bunch of bloggers with some time to waste? Blogger’s Jump Photos of course!

These was shot a day after the Nuffnang Awards and it was towards the end of the tour when we decide to take a break and shoot some landscape. The opportunity was there and we being opportunists never gives up a chance if we could. (more…)

Meeting Nico Rosberg prior to the Singapore GP 2009

It was an interview session that is different from the usual boring interviews. Nico Rosberg was quite relax and was enjoying himself throughout the interview session. Imagine this, we started off the interview in 1 location and end up in 2 other location.

Managed to get @StrippedSteph into the 3rd location and get a photo taken with him. Her reaction? “Who’s he?” (more…)

My SuperStar

My dearest StrippedSteph,

Today, we celebrate 1 year since we got together. In this one year, we’ve gone through thick and thin, through happiness and through some challenges.

To me, you are my Super Star.

Not very good with words, so hopefully this video tells you how I feel.

You’ve been the star in my eyes, all that matters to me. The one and only.

Congratulations Barcelona

I must congratulate Barcelona on a game well played and a trophy well won. Deep down, from a die hard Manchester United fan, I truly congratulate them.

Watching the game with loads of fellow football fans and friends, Man Utd supporters, Barcelona supporters, we could clearly see who was the better side on the field from the 10th minute onwards. Barcelona played a better tactical game compared to Man Utd’s offensive. Their back four, the 3 midfield and 3 attacking force gelled very well in delivering the goods. Great passing by all the players posing numerous problems to Man Utd’s very bad defending. (more…)

Heineken presents A Night in Rome

On Saturday, StrippedSteph and I headed over to Hap Seng Star with Joshua Ong for the Heineken presents A Night in Rome. The whole Mercedes Benz showroom was turned into a fashion runway and mock Roman architecture as fans of the game and drink hang around, mingle and party the night away. Got to meet the elusive Racheal Tan at the event, despite in constant contact online, this was the first time we met. But then, she disappear again running all over the place keeping the crowd happy at the party.

One thing I’d like to point out about that night is that invited guests have to PAY for their own drinks! This is the first even I went to where guests doesnt get free flow of drinks (a good example of a party that gives you free flow of drinks until you get pissed drunk was Hennessy Artistry). I mean, you invite people to the event and you expect people to pay for their own drinks. Call me cheap but the event was organized by Heineken, I’m sure they have within their budget to give away free drinks from within their own company right? Proceed after the jump for more photos. StrippedSteph’s Northumbria University Convocation

StrippedSteph came back to KL over the weekend for her own Graduation and I just had to be there to be part of that memorable moment.

The long wait at the lobby and the speeches was worth it. Sadly, at the group photo session, the official photographers was a bit bias, they allowed the friends and families for the group from Penang to take photos of the group session but rushed us off when it comes to the group photography session for KDU Petaling Jaya.

Steph… stripped and all

It’s been almost half the year since I first started going out with StrippedSteph. In this 6 months, alot of things has happened which in turn create new challenges to us and our relationship which I can say never had I went through before in my 32 years of life.

Recently, we’ve just celebrated StrippedSteph’s 21st birthday, it wasn’t a great fanfare that I was hoping to make it be but more of a very personal, very family affair kind of thing with just the family members. I got her my favorite Chocolate Durian Cake (from Just Heavenly) even though I know she didn’t like Durian and SHE LOVED IT! :p (more…)

StrippedSteph’s Birthday @ El Cactus

Decide to post this on StrippedSteph’s birthday instead of later. Anyway, StrippedSteph came back to Malaysia few days prior to her birthday to celebrate an early birthday with her family and myself. So it was off to Port Dickson for the celebration.

The venue of choice for the birthday dinner was El Cactus, the House of Great Mexican Food in PD itself. The restaurant was basically a re-modelled home turned into a restaurant and situated along the main road so it’s not hard to see it. Cozy atmosphere and with piped in Salsa music fills the air which was fantastic in my humble opinion. (more…)

Shayne Ward’s No You Hang Up @ Hennessy Artistry

Just thought I’d dedicate this video to StrippedSteph as she couldn’t make it to Hennessy Artistry.

Recorded it when Shayne performed ‘No You Hang Up’ during his performance. Just thought it’d be an appropriate song for her.

First time recording a video using a point n shoot camera. Felt odd as I’m so used to record videos using a huge ass camera.

The Lyrics of No You Hang Up
Oh, yeah

You got my attention at hello
We had this connection that wouldn’t let go
There was something sexy about your voice
Anything you say makes a beautiful noise

Oh-oh

And now we break up to make up right away (we make up right away)
Just an excuse to lay in bad all day (oh we’ll lay in bed all day)
I know that this thing we have won’t ever change
That’s why I have the confidence to say

[Chorus:]
A lot of girls are sexy but you know how to use it
You can keep me up on the phone all night
We say let’s hang up on three but we don’t ever do it
Ain’t it crazy how after all this time
We got that you hang up no, you hang up kinda love
We got that you hang up no, you hang up kinda love

Every time you call me I won’t lie
I still get the goosebumps I felt the first time
That I saw you walk In to a room
Girl, you had me hooked on that beautiful view

And now we break up and now we break up
To make up right away (oh, we make up right away)
Just an excuse to lay in bad all day (and we lay in bed all day)
I know that this thing we have won’t ever change
That’s why I have the confidence to say

[Chorus]

We got that you hang up no, you hang up kinda love (kinda love)

Baby you still know just how to blow my mind
And after everything that we’ve been through
It still feels right (Girl and I) I know
(That) I can’t picture living my life
Without you

Yeah, yeah, yeah

[Chorus:]
A lot of girls are sexy but you know how to use it
You can keep me up on the phone all night (all night)
We say let’s hang up on three but we don’t ever do it
Ain’t it crazy how after all this time
We got that you hang up no, you hang up kinda love
We got that you hang up no, you hang up kinda love

A lot of girls are sexy (a lot of girls are so sexy)
You can keep me up on the phone all night (oh, you better watch)
We say let’s hang up on three (you hang up, no, you hang up kinda love)
But we don’t ever do it (you hang up you hang up kinda love)
Ain’t it crazy how after all this time

We got that you hang up. No, you hang up kinda love [x4]

A Weekend in Port Dickson

After all those traveling about and partying, I decide to hide away to Port Dickson for a good break. To spend a quiet weekend with not much activity other than walking by the beach, sleeping and eating. Sounds like a good plan isn’t it?

The last time I came down to Port Dickson was back in 2006 with a bunch of friends to hang out at a Chalet somewhere near the 9th Mile with some BBQ thrown in. But that was back then, now, is a more serene trip. A trip to recharge myself for the coming ‘battle’, a trip for me to really plan what I need to do next to get everything moving. (more…)

Leaving on a Jetplane

See how Sad I look?

StrippedSteph finally left for Singapore and by now, have arrived at the island and checked into her hotel.

Tempted to run off with her passport so she couldn’t go!

It was quite hard for us to see her off this morning. It’s really tough! Arrived at KLIA about 8ish due to some stupid accident at USJ heading towards KLIA which slowed me down for a good half hour.

Getting ready to go through the Immigration counter.

Had breakfast with Mr. and Mrs. Gregory and StrippedSteph at McD’s … (URGH! <- I don’t like McD’s) before I helped her checked in her luggage at about 9. Spend a bit of time together before she went into the terminal at about 9.45am.

Going towards the Flight Terminal and leaving Malaysia for… a few months.

On my way back, received an sms from her that she has since got into the plane and sat by the window and by the time I reached home, she was already at Singapore and went to her office there. Sigh… now, time to count down to visiting her at Singapore as she can’t come back during her training period. ….

A Stroll in the Park

It was a quiet Saturday morning and just hour away from my little talk at HELP College. And so, I decide to take a walk around the TTDI park and have a look at the life and activities that goes on on a Saturday morning in that area

Life seems so peaceful and green in the area, with new life growing constantly around the old and dead.

Time seems to have slowed to a tortoise’s crawl and you see families, friends and even animals come out to play and bask in the morning sun.

Even flowers bloom and blossom in this morning.

With some growing to such beauty that they easily attract the attention of all who came across them.

There are some that just spend alot of time, monkeying around too.

Before I stumbled upon this beauty by the edge of the park and I invite her to join me in my afternoon’s endeavours.

Pepsi’s Longest Dribble Challenge

Last Sunday, after returning from Malacca, I received a call from David inviting me over to Titiwangsa Park for the Pepsi’s Longest Dribble Challenge. And so around 8ish, I was picked up at the Damansara Jaya Petronas station and with Christien New and Lavin Seow, we headed over to the Titiwangsa Park.

The Eye of Malaysia

The traffic at that place was horrendous no thanks to having several events being cramped into one area resulting in a bad traffic crawl into the venue. Arriving at the place, all the artists was briefed by the organizers on what to do and where to stand before the arrival of the ball for the final stretch of the event.

Festival of Magic 2008

Last Thursday, received a call from David which goes “Hey Dude, what you doing tomorrow? Want to see some magic show or not?” and my natural reaction was .. SURE! And so, that’s how I got myself to Subang Parade on a Friday night after work to watch the 2nd round of a competition showcasing some of the new stars of the Magician Fraternity from around the world.

Floating hat, I want to learn how to do that!!

One of the crowd favorite, especially among the girls was this dude from Korea that does some robotic dance, quick mask changing and some very slick tricks.

Mary Poppin of China… j/k!

The other was a guy from China, according to David Lai, he is one of the rising stars in Asia. Garnering loud cheers at all his tricks mostly played around umbrellas which he could summon continuously out of “thin air”.

StrippedSteph the Magician…….’s assistant

The show ends with a performance by our very own Malaysian Magician which did some nice tricks using a large box. At one point of the performance, he even managed to pull StrippedSteph up to the stage to be part of the show! How nice…

(L-R: me!, StrippedSteph, Narymama, ThomasYap, DavidLai, ShazXFresh, XJ)

Apart from StrippedSteph and myself, there’s also Shaz from Xfresh, KJ, Nadia and Thomas and of course not forgetting the VVIP that night, David Lai.

Dude, Teach me how to do the Floating Hat Trick!

Last word before I post the link to the photos, Thanks David for the invite, the shows was fantastic. As for the photos, click here to view them.
