A Weekend in Port Dickson

After all those traveling about and partying, I decide to hide away to Port Dickson for a good break. To spend a quiet weekend with not much activity other than walking by the beach, sleeping and eating. Sounds like a good plan isn’t it?

The last time I came down to Port Dickson was back in 2006 with a bunch of friends to hang out at a Chalet somewhere near the 9th Mile with some BBQ thrown in. But that was back then, now, is a more serene trip. A trip to recharge myself for the coming ‘battle’, a trip for me to really plan what I need to do next to get everything moving. Leaving on a Jetplane

See how Sad I look?

StrippedSteph finally left for Singapore and by now, have arrived at the island and checked into her hotel.

Tempted to run off with her passport so she couldn’t go!

It was quite hard for us to see her off this morning. It’s really tough! Arrived at KLIA about 8ish due to some stupid accident at USJ heading towards KLIA which slowed me down for a good half hour.

Getting ready to go through the Immigration counter.

Had breakfast with Mr. and Mrs. Gregory and StrippedSteph at McD’s … (URGH! <- I don’t like McD’s) before I helped her checked in her luggage at about 9. Spend a bit of time together before she went into the terminal at about 9.45am.

Going towards the Flight Terminal and leaving Malaysia for… a few months.

On my way back, received an sms from her that she has since got into the plane and sat by the window and by the time I reached home, she was already at Singapore and went to her office there. Sigh… now, time to count down to visiting her at Singapore as she can’t come back during her training period. ….

A Stroll in the Park

It was a quiet Saturday morning and just hour away from my little talk at HELP College. And so, I decide to take a walk around the TTDI park and have a look at the life and activities that goes on on a Saturday morning in that area

Life seems so peaceful and green in the area, with new life growing constantly around the old and dead.

Time seems to have slowed to a tortoise’s crawl and you see families, friends and even animals come out to play and bask in the morning sun.

Even flowers bloom and blossom in this morning.

With some growing to such beauty that they easily attract the attention of all who came across them.

There are some that just spend alot of time, monkeying around too.

Before I stumbled upon this beauty by the edge of the park and I invite her to join me in my afternoon’s endeavours.

To Be Continued?…

Pepsi’s Longest Dribble Challenge

Last Sunday, after returning from Malacca, I received a call from David inviting me over to Titiwangsa Park for the Pepsi’s Longest Dribble Challenge. And so around 8ish, I was picked up at the Damansara Jaya Petronas station and with Christien New and Lavin Seow, we headed over to the Titiwangsa Park.

The Eye of Malaysia

The traffic at that place was horrendous no thanks to having several events being cramped into one area resulting in a bad traffic crawl into the venue. Arriving at the place, all the artists was briefed by the organizers on what to do and where to stand before the arrival of the ball for the final stretch of the event.

Festival of Magic 2008

Last Thursday, received a call from David which goes “Hey Dude, what you doing tomorrow? Want to see some magic show or not?” and my natural reaction was .. SURE! And so, that’s how I got myself to Subang Parade on a Friday night after work to watch the 2nd round of a competition showcasing some of the new stars of the Magician Fraternity from around the world.

Floating hat, I want to learn how to do that!!

One of the crowd favorite, especially among the girls was this dude from Korea that does some robotic dance, quick mask changing and some very slick tricks.

Mary Poppin of China… j/k!

The other was a guy from China, according to David Lai, he is one of the rising stars in Asia. Garnering loud cheers at all his tricks mostly played around umbrellas which he could summon continuously out of “thin air”.

StrippedSteph the Magician…….’s assistant

The show ends with a performance by our very own Malaysian Magician which did some nice tricks using a large box. At one point of the performance, he even managed to pull StrippedSteph up to the stage to be part of the show! How nice…

(L-R: me!, StrippedSteph, Narymama, ThomasYap, DavidLai, ShazXFresh, XJ)

Apart from StrippedSteph and myself, there’s also Shaz from Xfresh, KJ, Nadia and Thomas and of course not forgetting the VVIP that night, David Lai.

Dude, Teach me how to do the Floating Hat Trick!

Last word before I post the link to the photos, Thanks David for the invite, the shows was fantastic. As for the photos, click here to view them.
