Toast & Roast

It was one of those days when I read a conversation between Andrew and Marky that intrigues me, not because it’s about some naughty subjects but because it’s about pork, to be specific, barbeque pork which they claimed to be one of the best in town.

The restaurant they told me about is the Toast and Roast Restaurant, passerby might just think of this restaurant based on it’s name as some kind of cafe serving toasts and such but I can assure you it is not. It’s a true blue pork selling restaurant that is patronized by a lot of people, especially those working around the area namely Tropicana City Mall and the office blocks just next to it. (more…)

Burger Bomba @ SS2

Previously, I posted about this burger stall in SS2 that I like to patronize, well, there’s another one I like to frequent too. Mizi’s burger stall located right in front of the SS2 Fire Station, anyone staying nearby or have a car would definitely try to make their way over there.

I believe this couple has been selling burgers there for quite some time while working their full time job as firemen saving lifes that’s in danger and so forth. The last trip I went to the stall, A couple standing in front of me ordered 10 … yup… 10 burgers! I mean, like are they having a party or what? (more…)

Burger & Nasi Lemak Utara SS2

To me, there’s 2 famous Burger stalls in SS2, the first one is located in front of the Fire Station in SS2 operated by the staff of the station and the other is located opposite SS2′s Police Station.

It’s quite easy to spot this burger stall as it’s the first one in the open food square. To help those that doesn’t know how to identify food stalls, look for the sign Gerai A1. If you still missed it, I suggest to go to the nearest Optometrist and get your eyes checked.

Anyway, to me, it is popular since the early 90s as it’s one of the few stalls out there that sells not only your usual Burger Ayam or Beef Burger and Benjo. It’s one of the few stalls out there that also sells Rabbit Burger and Deer Burger. Yup, you heard me right, Deer Meat burger. (more…)

SS2 Durian Feast

The atmosphere behind the SS2 police station was like a party cum feast cum Mega Sale and it truly is. There were people everywhere, 3 stalls was set up by 3 different groups (I think so since all 3 have different names) and each stalls are packed with people.

All you can eat Durians for RM10, who wouldn’t want to eat? And then there’s the Durian Raja Kunyit (DRK), popular choice among every patron to that site, even though the DRK are the most expensive ones yet they are always the first to be sold out. It’s been awhile since I last experience such a rush when it came to eating fruits, I doubt that I’ll ever be so excited unless it’s another trip to binge on durians. This time around, it was all thanks to Softbunny and Fulat for heading there with me. (more…)
