The Ten Commandments of Flying

If you’re the type who travels much via planes (this does not include those of you who works as an Air Crew/Stewardess/Stewards), I’m sure you’d have come across sitting beside or in front of passengers that has been an arse. Maybe, even you yourself without knowing it has done it to others.

As travels become cheaper, everyone starts to fly even more and I’ve heard a lot of stories how one passenger would complain about the other passenger and their lack of respect for other people’s space. Noise pollutions and so on and so forth.

John Rosenthal wrote this on Bing.com and I thought it’ll be nice to share it with the readers of my blog while I’m not around. You know how it is, not able to update as much as I like but still want to keep putting up contents for whoever that comes across this blog by chance or have a weird sense of finding this blog entertaining. This is a true account of what was heard on a recent flight from Shenzhen to Qingtao by China Southern Airlines:

“Good afternoon, Ladies and the German.

This is your cheap purser Wang Lui speaking. On behalf of China Sudden Airlines, I would like to welcome you on board our Bowling 737 from Shenzhen to Qingtao.

Members of my crew speak Chinese and other languages that you do not know. It is a great pressure serving you to-die. (more…)

World Air Traffic in 24 hours

This is a very cool video that I stumbled upon on youtube.

It is a 24 hour observation of all of the large aircraft flights in the world, recorded by plane flight transponders, via Geo-stationary orbital satellites all compressed to a min.

From space we look like a bee hive of activity. (more…)

SIA steward accused of rape – Straits Times

Posted By Michael Yip / September, 5, 2008 / 3 comments

How not to worry about the girl who join SIA with this kind of news popping up on the News Wire? This one is from Singapore’s Strait Times.

Here’s the thing I don’t understand…Why in the world would the hotel’s staff go opening the door to a stranger to access the room of another guest? Bribery? Did the Steward know her and have been “marking” her? Why didn’t the girl lock her room’s door with the latch when she goes to bed? Any one want to share theories while we wait for more news from across the sea?

Leaving on a Jetplane

See how Sad I look?

StrippedSteph finally left for Singapore and by now, have arrived at the island and checked into her hotel.

Tempted to run off with her passport so she couldn’t go!

It was quite hard for us to see her off this morning. It’s really tough! Arrived at KLIA about 8ish due to some stupid accident at USJ heading towards KLIA which slowed me down for a good half hour.

Getting ready to go through the Immigration counter.

Had breakfast with Mr. and Mrs. Gregory and StrippedSteph at McD’s … (URGH! <- I don’t like McD’s) before I helped her checked in her luggage at about 9. Spend a bit of time together before she went into the terminal at about 9.45am.

Going towards the Flight Terminal and leaving Malaysia for… a few months.

On my way back, received an sms from her that she has since got into the plane and sat by the window and by the time I reached home, she was already at Singapore and went to her office there. Sigh… now, time to count down to visiting her at Singapore as she can’t come back during her training period. ….
