RMAF’s MiG-29N Air Display @ Malaysia GP 2010

Congratulations to the winners of the signed Nico Rosberg caps. The Race Weekend is here and what better way to start off the weekend postings with photos from the Malaysian GP right? F1 was in town, it was crazy, I didn’t go for any of them compared to last year but one place I definitely went to was the Sepang F1 track.

The RMAF’s MiG-29N came out to do some aerial display during the practice sessions to entertain the crowd. For those of us who had witnessed the might of the American and the British Aerial team, this was nothing in comparison but the feeling of being proud is there watching these pilots in their MiG-29N doing their hardest, pulling huge Gs to entertain the audience at the Sepang F1 Circuit. Malaysian GP Qualifying Result

With a later start compared to previous years, the rain didn’t show itself as the Qualifying session kicked off. A Qualifying full of drama as Button takes Pole again after Melbourne. Joining him on the front row is Toyota’s Jarno Trulli. Red Bull’s Sebastian Vettel and Brawn GP’s Rubens Barrichello were third and fourth, but grid penalties for both mean Toyota’s Timo Glock and Williams’ Nico Rosberg will form row two.Ferrari’s Raikkonen could only land himself in the 9th position while Massa qualifying in 16th. McLaren was 13th and 14th respectively after the controversial Melbourne GP still haunting them.

Button is looking set to show that the win at Melbourne is no fluke while Ferrari and McLaren will be looking to reclaim the throne that Brawn GP so comfortably control this season. Will the April 14th hearing regarding the diffuser affect how the 3 teams running the controversial diffuser perform? It’s all to watch for tomorrow. The Full result of the Qualifying is as follow… (more…)

Here’s the rest of the set of photos from the Super GT Weekend! The top floor of the Main Grandstand was my location, why? So that when I take photos, I’ll not capture any of fencing that surrounds the place.

The Grandstand overlooking the final straight. Don’t let this photo fool you, it’s FREAKING HOT!

Anyway, weather wise, it’s freaking hot! But heck, to be able to sit there and listen to the wonderful symphony of race cars flying past me, it’s pure heaven. Here’s some of my fav. selection.

The Tickets!

Now, anyone and everyone that knows me knows that I love motorsports. Love to be involved in it and if I can’t race in it, I’d like to be part of it. And so, with this two tickets, I dragged StrippedSteph along with me on a nice long drive to Sepang to catch the Super GT race being held there.

Air-conditioned VIP room with my own GT Babe.

One thing good about knowing people there is that you’d get to go into areas where not many people could and so on this hot sunny day, we were enjoying ourself in the nice comfortable interior of the VIP room. This is also the holding room where all the GT Girls or Race Queens will gather before they go out and greet the fans!
