Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2010

Was told about the Red Bull Illume Image Quest 2010 which mostly features the best action and adventure sports photography from around the world. I decide to take a shot at it with 2 of my photos.

The first one was of this photo I shot of Fazuly from the X-Games.

And the 2nd one was of this South African Flowboarder doing her thang at the Wave House. (more…)

Up-Close and racing with Sébastien Buemi

Previously, I posted photos of Jaime Alguersuari of Scuderia Toro Rosso, this post is about his team mate, Sébastien Buemi. Also taken at the same location, Sébastien carries himself in a more confident manner throughout the day, even at the Red Bull party (that’ll be another story for another post). So without much needed introduction, here’s some photos taken from that day.

Up-Close and Racing with Jaime Alguersuari

He might not be in the fight for the top spots in Formula 1, but nevertheless, he is one of the 20 that’s lucky enough to race competitively in the Formula 1 race.

Jaime Alguersuari took some time off his busy schedule to meet with Scuderia Toro Rosso fans prior to the Singapore GP and race around a few laps at the Go-Kart circuit to give a teaser to the fans what to expect at the Singapore Night Race 2009. (more…)

Toro Rosso F1 Drivers

Take it as a teaser post, take it as a single photo post. This is Toro Rosso’s Sébastien Buemi & Jaime Alguersuari getting ready.

Are you ready for the Singapore GP? It’s the Night Race everyone’s waiting for in the Formula 1 Calendar.

Shanghai GP Race Result

Great win for Sebastian Vettel, 2nd career win and Red Bull’s first 1 – 2 finish. It was a truly magical race for Vettel as he led from start to finish with Jenson Button of Brawn GP hardly posing much of a competition in this wet wet race.
Button came in 3rd while Barrichello came in 4th. Ferrari again failed to pose any points in their worst start since 1992. The last time they failed to score any points in the first 3 races was in 1996 (Canada/France/Britain).

Massa came closed but his car yet again failed on him while Kimi could only manage 10th position when the chequered flag was waved. Lewis Hamilton came in 6th behind his team mate Kovalainen in 5th.

Adrian Sutil of Force India nearly pose an upset by keeping himself in the points until the last few laps when a mistake slammed him against the tire wall and dashing Force India’s hope of scoring a point in the Shanghai GP. To date, Only Force India and Ferrari has yet to score any points after the 3 races. (more…)

The Scouting Years

Was sitting around flipping through some of my old photos as well as looking at some of the photos posted on Facebook by Ekbert really bring back some sweet memories of my scouting days. Do you remember the first time you go camping? For me, it’s still as fresh in my mind like it happened only a few days ago.

Looking at all those time we had fun, growing up together as a group, enjoying all those activities from camping to hiking, from Jamborees to campfires. It was great memories that I truly valued. I’ve stopped being active for about 10 years now with work being one of the main factor that stopped me from being active cause even weekends was the days I’m the busiest in those days.

Anyway, writing this post really just to note down some of the best memories I had when it comes to Scouts. Starting with the very first camp I get to attend at SRK Taman Sea. Even though it was in a school, at a tender age of 10, it was still an adventure I cherish. My family showing up on the 2nd night of camp was also a high point for me at that time cause on that night, my troop had to perform a Malay traditional dance and better way to have it than to perform it for my own family right? Red Bull Rookies – Photoshoot

Some time back prior to the Super GT, I tagged along with ShaolinTiger to Sunway to do some photo-shoot of the Red Bull Rookies. Our very own local race queens, not race queens as in umbrella girls but that of bringing their cars into the race tracks and sets the track ablaze with their skills.

Running of the Bull @ Pamplona

This is something different, no, I still don’t support Red Bull Racing when it comes to F1. BUT, this is nice, the annually held Running of the bull event has always held an intrigue for me and this is just basically awesome when David Coulthard and Sebastien Bourdais travelled to Pamplona for a special street demonstration.

The street demo took them through many narrow streets towards the bull arena where both Coulthard and Bourdais completed a few donats.

Few in Pamplona had a better time than Red Bull Racing driver David Coulthard. The British pilot was visibly moved as he got out of his car at the end of the run. “I’m ever so proud to have been a part of this very special event”, he said, as he returned the applause the public regaled him with. Coulthard’s bullpen partner, Sébastien Bourdais, had to agree: “I’d seen bits, on TV, but now I know this has to be really amazing, seen live”, though he was quick to point out he’d have to be crazy ever to run in front of a real bull.

Check out this video of the event.
