Setting Sun Over Port Dickson

Another landscape series from me, this was shot at Port Dickson near the Yacht Club against a hazy backdrop. As you know, lately the west coast of Malaysia has been enveloped by a layer of haze, it’s nothing new of course since Indonesia, our oh so friendly neighbor like to burn things in the open and fan it our way.

How come none of our enforcement officers are issuing them with any summons when they are so diligently issuing summons for even the most minute of offenses? Isn’t open burning an offense? (more…)

The Look Of A Babe Bored @ Photoshoots

Port Dickson & Mamak

StrippedSteph was down with Chicken Pox, which means she can’t really go anywhere (well, she’ll get her outings this weekend…) so it was basically indoor back at her home in Port Dickson from morning to night to morning to night … well, you get the idea.

No one like to stay indoor for that long and neither does she, so one of the things we ended up doing was going out for nightly drives, one of the drives would bring us to the usual mamak stall we go to. Actually, it’s the only one I know in PD.

The place is known as Hasan Murtabak Kedai Makanan Muslim, located about 5min drive from her place so it’s pretty near. It’s normally packed with families, hanging out there til late but I think they closes around 1am. So on one such trip, it’s the usual Teh Tarik and I decide to order the Roti Tissue. (more…)

StrippedSteph’s Birthday @ El Cactus

Decide to post this on StrippedSteph’s birthday instead of later. Anyway, StrippedSteph came back to Malaysia few days prior to her birthday to celebrate an early birthday with her family and myself. So it was off to Port Dickson for the celebration.

The venue of choice for the birthday dinner was El Cactus, the House of Great Mexican Food in PD itself. The restaurant was basically a re-modelled home turned into a restaurant and situated along the main road so it’s not hard to see it. Cozy atmosphere and with piped in Salsa music fills the air which was fantastic in my humble opinion. (more…)

A Weekend in Port Dickson

After all those traveling about and partying, I decide to hide away to Port Dickson for a good break. To spend a quiet weekend with not much activity other than walking by the beach, sleeping and eating. Sounds like a good plan isn’t it?

The last time I came down to Port Dickson was back in 2006 with a bunch of friends to hang out at a Chalet somewhere near the 9th Mile with some BBQ thrown in. But that was back then, now, is a more serene trip. A trip to recharge myself for the coming ‘battle’, a trip for me to really plan what I need to do next to get everything moving. (more…)
