My View on Internet Filtration by M’sia’s Government
I must say that the recent bashing our dear YB Rais Yatim is getting from the Internet community is surely giving his old body a few bruises here and there. If you’ve no idea what I’m talking about, I’m talking about the Internet filtration that the Government is mulling over. Yes, it’s similar to China’s abandoned “Green Dam” project, but then, we also have to look at it in the bigger picture.
Am I siding his decision? I would say no, what for? You can’t get into your favorite porn sites? Go through one of those proxy sites you could access to (I’ll post several links at the bottom of this post for you to use). You can’t access your favorite anti-establishment websites like RPK’s Malaysia-Today site/blog/portal because it’s bashing the government left right and center? Go ahead, use the proxy servers. After all, the government forgot that they even pen down the thing about No Censorship to the Internet, so why not, we as Internet users also go about working around the censorship? (more…)
Mad Cow Disease the root of Ahmad’s sanity
I read with interest over the couple of days or rather week since that Ahmad made that stupid remark about chinese. And the fire of racism is being stoked even further with these kind of remarks. I’m just going to grab some of the quotes to share here.

Ahmad Ismail, a division chief in the United Malays National Organisation ruling party, claimed that the Malay majority was losing patience with minorities, particularly ethnic Chinese politicians.
“Consider this a warning from the Malays,” Ahmad said. “The patience of the Malays has a limit. Do not push us against the wall, for we will be forced to turn back and push the Chinese for our own survival.”
Anwar vs Shabery – The Debate
For those of you who missed the ‘historic debate of the year’ between PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim and Information Minister Shabery Cheek last night, here’s the videos that I could find on youtube just for you.
As I couldn’t watch the program at home, I could only talk about it with the other bloggers online about what’s happening and take their word for it for what is happening on TV. Well, now, we can view for ourselves what happened in the show.
This is quite a good thing that is happening as we finally see some politicians stepping up to the stage LIVE for the citizens to judge for themselves what these politician they voted in is all about and what is truly in their ‘scripted’ mind. At least there’s no holds bar in this and you can truly see for yourself who these people really are.
Anwar going for the racial card again as usual fishing for more support from the malay community while alienating to other races. As I told some of my blogging friends last night, this is what I’ve expected him to do. He has always been Pro Malay and only sucking up to the other races cause he wants to fish for votes, now that he don’t need them, he just go back to his old ways.
Shabery, well, what can we say about him? Using the past as ammunition, sounds like an english football club my friends support, they can’t prove anything with the present, so have to rely on past stories to prove to the world they are still relevant.
Anyway, enough of my rants, watch the videos and judge for yourself. (more…)
