April Fool Day Self Portrait
It’s the 1st of April, the start of a new month, 1st day of the 4th month of 2011. How has it been so far for you all? Here’s something I did, a self portrait of sort but not just the typical just stand there and pose type.

What do you think? Do feel free to feedback on this little self portrait. Also, can you guess who’s this lady that is trying to kill me? At least if you know the name, then when the police ask questions, you know who to name.

Chris & Wei Wei Pre-Wedding
Shot back in October, the choice of location was chosen through mutual discussion. In fact, the indoor location was exactly where Chris, Wei Wei and I had our discussion on where to use as a location. The best thing about this shoot is, by noon, the Groom and I had already down like the 5th pint of Guinness with the make-up artist and Ken (performing as my assistant in this shoot) wondering whether we were there to do the shoot or to drink. The Bride gave up on us by then but nevertheless, it was all fun and laughter as we got these set of photos done.

I must thank Michael (this guy looks like Paul Teutul of American Chopper) & friend for allowing us to use the bike even though they were only there for a morning drink and was not part of our original plan. Also, we were also there to cover their actual day but do hang on as that is for another post. (more…)

2010 sees me completed 28 studio and outdoor portraits (mixture of both that I was paid to shoot and for experimental purpose). Let’s see if 2011 would exceed that amount, starting with this one of Marilyn.

1. KNOW YOUR CLIENTS – By having them know who you are and what you are doing on the wedding day, it’s easier for you to move about getting your work done and they will also be comfortable with your presence. This is also the time you can find out what is the day’s schedule like so that you can plan ahead and be one step ahead of the couple.
