Fergie threatens Rooney over Beckham boot gag in United’s Xmas quiz

Wayne Rooney might not be getting a Christmas present from Sir Alex Ferguson this year after mocking his gaffer in the club’s annual quiz. United star Rooney was part of the players team that went head-to-head with the coaching staff. Rooney joined Ryan Giggs and Jonny Evans for the battle of the minds that was filmed at Old Trafford with the trio triumphant against Ferguson’s team, winning 40-29.

Tasked with giving clues to Giggs and Evans to guess the film title Bend It Like Beckham, Rooney initially struggled. But when pushed by Balding, he swept back some imaginary golden locks before pointing to Ferguson, pretending to kick a boot and then holding his eye. Leaving his team-mates slightly baffled, Rooney – struggling to stop laughing – then repeated the combination. (more…)

Manchester United vs Malaysia – Photos from Field Level

The stadium wasn’t as packed as the Saturday game, must say that the Malaysian team wasn’t playing as well as the first game either. Here are some of my thoughts along with loads of photos.

The Starting 11

The defensive players held on tight to their positioning and did well even though 2 goals were scored against them. Can’t really compare much between a team that’s been playing together for an entire season and a team assembled 12 days prior to the game right? (more…)
