Photos from the 2011 Malaysian Formula 1 Grand Prix
Here’s some photos shot at the Friday Free Practice where Mark Webber lead the way as practice continued in Malaysia on Friday afternoon. With a best effort of 1:36.876, the Red Bull driver headed McLaren pairing Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton as Germans Sebastian Vettel and Michael Schumacher completed the top five in dry conditions.
Felipe Massa could only muster a 6th place for Ferrari with a time of 01:38:089 while Fernando Alonso could only finish the day at 9th. Team Lotus’ Jarno Trulli finished at 20th and Heikki Kovalainen ended at the bottom after only managed to lap the circuit 4 times due to his car’s Differential problem. One of the most exciting parties I’m looking forward to will be happening on the April 9th, the party that play host to the crème de la crème of Malaysian society, the official race party of the Malaysian GP, it’s the the Black Circuit Lounge! This highly anticipated event is an inside-look at the glamorous lifestyle of global racing that Johnnie Walker is kind enough to share with us. I must say it’s not one to miss. I wouldn’t miss it no matter what!
But before that, Johnnie Walker is also hosting an exclusive Johnnie Walker Jet Black party in Singapore on the 12th of March! Having missed the previous year’s party, I definitely want to be heading to this one. Photos from the Malaysian F1 GP 2010
The Malaysian GP for the 2010 season is up and it’s going to be a very wet affair from what we could see from the qualifier. With a handful of upsets with Button and both the Ferrari drivers couldn’t manage a good time in Q1. The race will look to be an exciting one with the teams looking at ways to overcome their qualifying disappointment to come up tops.
It’s all down to the race strategies employ by each time and I’ll definitely be looking forward to it. Here’s how the top 10 drivers line up look like prior to the race. (more…)
Mercedes McLaren F1 Drivers
The whole week, the whole of Singapore was abuzz with F1 activities from the driver meet the fans session to media interviews. One of the team that was busy going all over town attending such functions was the McLaren F1 team. I’m no McLaren fan but who would reject opportunities to meet these drivers face to face right?
The McLaren trip started with Heikki Kovalainen at the Changi Airport for the Johnny Walker function where he met the fans, tell them don’t drink and drive, show everyone how he drives on the racing Simulation before he got ushered off in a hurry by his minders. (more…)
