MY 21st (NOT) Birthday Celebration Part 1 of 4 – Home

It’s the day to celebrate my birth 34years ago (2010 – 1976… should be right). It has been a long long time since I last celebrated my birthday with a group of friends and this year, I got to celebrate it for a whole 2 weeks with different groups of friends. Truly a memorable one that I’ll forever remember in my heart. Not trying to be soppy and all but truthfully, I’ve always like to celebrate my birthday quietly away from everyone with the one I love. It’s hard for me to explain why but that’s just me. Also, I realized long time ago that apart from organizing events for other people, whenever I organize something for myself, it just never worked out. So why bother right?

But this year, my parents told me to just try to get some friends over for dinner to celebrate my birthday where as my initial plan was to just lock myself in my room until it’s the 7th. Oh well, some Facebook Invites was shot out (these days it’s easier with Facebook and furthermore, I lost all my contacts when my phone got stolen) and on the two faithful days (yes, I had 2 days of dinner celebration at home), the friends showed up. Breakfast?

First up, home made pan cake, easy to make if you buy those pre-packed ones from the market, just follow the instructions and you can’t go wrong. Top it up with some butter and honey before eating. Heavenly!

Then there’s the toasts, basically some bread, dipped in battered eggs and simmered with sugar after cook. Simple yet fills the tummy. (more…)
