Eating Seafood in Kota Kinabalu with Celebrities

What happens when you have a bunch of hungry guys and girls including the likes of Hannah Tan, Pietro Felix, Harith Iskandar, Hans Isaac wonders what to eat for dinner? Well, wonder no more, these sets of food was from some time back when we were in Kota Kinabalu for a show.

The restaurant we went to is known as the Ocean Seafood Village Restaurant, quite a popular one in Kota Kinabalu and according to some of the locals, one of the most expensive places to eat seafood. We were invited by Fellest and his family to join them for dinner there and how can we just say no to some good seafood dinner? (more…)

Hannah Tan’s Farewell Party @ Somo

Hannah Tan topped off 2008 with a farewell dinner cum party at Somo for all her friends and acquintances. Why the farewell? She’s leaving the motherland and heading to the land of the rising Sun. Yup, come 2009, Hannah Tan will be based in Japan. So sad, especially for all her fans in Malaysia but it’s a great opportunity for Hannah so Good Luck Hannah and make Malaysia Proud. Here’s some photos from the event, as it’s just a small dinner party, there’s really nothing much to talk about. So enjoy the photos.

H-Factor @ KL – The Final Leg

H-Factor ended it’s final leg at Seri Pacific in Kuala Lumpur, after 3 weeks of travelling about. You can say that for the crew, it’s a good change when you are working near home instead. I found out later in the event that even though we were back on home turf, most of the crew had to stay at the hotel at the end of the day cause they were working day and night to get everything ready which means, no going homeeee… (whistle Michael Buble’s song – Home)

Harith Iskandar

One thing I observed after all that is the speakers, they pulled out all the stops. At each venue, they got better and you can say that reached KL, they were at their peak! Our friend from Penang, Vnn, could testify to that as she was at both the Penang and the KL leg and she pointed it out too that the style and confidence level of the speakers was so difference. H-Factor @ Kota Kinabalu

Stunt

As some of you would have known by now, I was in Kota Kinabalu over the weekend for the H-Factor Creative Youth Workshop. Everyone was there in terms of the speakers except for David Lai who couldn’t make it due to some personal reasons.

Hannah & I

Just like Penang and Johor’s workshop before this, the crowd was excellent, in fact, I believe this is the biggest crowd yet. Was told by Hannah and her team that even though they expect about 200 people, more than 300 people turned up for the workshop. (more…)

Leaving for KK
My Flight Ticket!

That’s what the crew of H-Factor did for Hannah. As soon as we arrived at the Hotel lobby, we were told to whisk ourselves to our room, changed and get back down to be ready for dinner. 15minutes later when we were already on the yatch, Hannah showed up, all blind folded not knowing where she was being led to… What a good time to take her to sell and make a huge profit eh? H-Factor @ Johor

H-Factor finally finished with Johor, unlike the Penang trip, this one was a tad more relaxing as everyone knows what they have to do and what needs to be done.

ShaolinTiger and KimberlyCun can to pick me up at 8am on Saturday before the whole entourage left for Johor Bharu on a bus. It was fantastic as I don’t have to drive but sit back and relax. Tried to sleep but it ain’t easy.

Arrived to The Zon Regency at about 1ish and proceed to checking in. Again, bunking with ST for this trip. At 2, we met up with Jessica and Leonard to go off for lunch (which will appear in another post about food!) with the rest of the team. Only to found out that those guys walked so far that we end up only a stone throw away from our destination (The MSC Cyberport). (more…)

H-Factor @ Penang

It was 7am on the Saturday morning when ShaolinTiger and I reached HELP College to meet up with the rest of the crew heading off to Penang with us. Why the journey? It’s cause we’re heading up north to meet up with Hannah Tan and the rest of the people for the H-Factor’s installment in Penang. My company, Events Xpert is involved in this as the official videographer.

Reached G Hotel about 12pm and got ourselves checked in before we head off for a quick lunch and briefing on the day’s agenda. With the H-Factor workshop happening on Sunday, the team including the speakers is taking every opportunity possible to do as much publicity as we could and the venue of choice was the Queensbay Mall on the other side of the island.
