Road Trip: Pulau Pinang – A Video of Kek Lok Si Temple
Over the weekend, I went on a road trip to Pulau Pinang. Approximately 330km from home. While there, decide to make use of my compact camera and use it as a video recorder. It doesn’t provide us with the best quality video but heck, this is just for self indulgence and I’m not shooting this for any TV series so there’s no need for me to be armed with the usual the Sony DVW-790WSP or the Sony HVR Z1U that most people associate me with. Anyway, here’s a short video I put together, using just clips that I shot (or that I remember to shoot) while I was in Kek Lok Si Temple.
A more complete set of photos will be posted from this trip to Pulau Pinang. So do come back and visit more often or better yet, bookmark this site so you can easily click and visit.
Balestier Bak Kut Teh @ ION Orchard
Anyone who knows me knows how much I love my pork, and one of my fav. pork dishes are the bak kut tehs. Tell me where the best Bak Kut Teh place is located and I’ll try to make it there to give it a try. One such place I was recommended to try out in Singapore is the Balistier Teochew style Bak Kut Teh (pork rib soup) from a famous eatery in Balestier Road. Well, instead of heading over to Balestier Road (I don’t know where that is) and I went to the one in ION Orchard.

We were ushered into the place and got ourselves a nice table to sit on, atmosphere wise, the place is nice and comfortable. Maybe because it’s located in a nice shopping complex like the ION Orchard. Anyway, it took us some time to browse through the menu and since we know what we are going for, we place our orders quickly. One thing I was reminded to do is, leave the Malaysian taste bud at home cause I’ll be overly disappointed if I judge the food based on what I’ve been eating all my life. (more…)
Photos from a 3 year old
My children came by last week to spend time with me and after coming home from Pizza Hut, I gave my daughter my camera to play with. No, I didn’t gave her the dSLR but the FujiFilm point and shoot that I have.
So yah, am sharing with you some images from my daughter’s point. My son? Didn’t bother with it cause he was too busy with my PSP. LOL.
