SIC Kart Circuit relaunched
The 1.247km long and 10meter wide SIC Kart Circuit at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC) recently went through a rebirth and was relaunched together with a new operator in charge that will now co-manage the go-kart circuit with SIC.

Designed by renowned Formula One track designer Hermann Tilke, the man responsible for the layout of SIC’s main track as well as a few other tracks on the Formula One calendar, the track provides karters with 11 beautiful corners with the track’s surface using the same materials as the tarmac on the SIC F1 Circuit itself. Anatomy of a 2011 F1 Steering Wheel
Over the years, not only do we see changes happening in the engine bay and on the bodywork of the F1 car. There’s also changes that we can see on the steering wheel as well to reflect on the respective new components that is added onto the car. One of the new changes to the Steering wheel compared the previous season is the addition of the KERS and the DRS both of which would play a big part in helping the cars win races.

Each of these steering wheels weighs in at 1.3kg, it cost an estimated RM125,000 a piece. A typical Malaysia driver driving a Proton Wira installs a sports steering that only cost RM125 a piece and this usually comes with a Boss Kit! The interesting thing about all these steering wheels is, each one is designed specifically for each driver, with the buttons and dials positioning custom made to each driver. So even though Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso drives the same car, the steering wheels for both drivers are different. (more…)

Experiencing the Lifestyle of a Formula 1 Driver
Thanks to Johnnie Walker Malaysia, I got to not only head down to Singapore to party it up like a G6 at the Jet Black Party but also experience what it’s like to live in the life of the rich and famous, in this case, as an F1 driver. Here’s my little story… (I hope you got the time to read til the end and not get bored….)

We took off from KLIA on a chilly Friday morning but before we even step into the plane, Johnnie Walker presented us each with 2 beautiful gifts, 1st a beautiful bottle of Gold Label (as seen in this studio hi-key shot). Yes, I have my own studio so I’m able to do all this kinda nonsense of shooting whatever things I get my hands on when I’m not busy with shoots. Can you see that beautiful name engraved into the bottle? Yup! My name’s on it! (more…)
