Is KL Safe anymore? Can A Person Walk Alone without being attacked?

Day in day out, I read about stories in the newspapers talking about how women get attacked, had their handbags snatched or raped and what goes through my mind is just the usual, poor thing. Hope she is OK. But when it starts involving friends that I know, then it truly will affect me. We always say please be careful when you go out but how careful can we get? No matter how prepared we are for any particular situation, scenarios more often than not does not pan out the way we see it. Guys, please please make sure your lady friends is safe, walk with them when they want to go anywhere especially if it involves her walking through an alley especially at night, when there’s more place for these Bastards to hide in the dark.

All this incidents that’s happening just make me feel worried about the Princess whenever she goes out at night to meet up with friends or work. Yes, she is old enough to take care of herself, she has friends around to make sure she is safe. But seriously, how safe is safe? What’s happening Kuala Lumpur? We hear reports of police force doubling up their force everywhere and we see petrol cars going everywhere but why is these people getting more and more bold? Some of these attacks happened even in front of big crowd. (more…)

Salsa Fever @ Love The World, Singapore

Thanks to Claudie, I got to know about this place at the Singapore Flyer known as Love The World and on Tuesdays, they will have Salsa Night! The usual type of music played there are rock and ballads I think. Anyway, it’s all good as now, I have a place I can go to for my dancing fix on Week Days when I’m in Singapore!

1st Impression I got when I step in, the place was quite quiet but then it’s common in most salsa clubs that the 1st hour is the most quiet while everyone is making their way to the place. By 9pm, the place was starting to fill up with dancers and music starts to play. (more…)

A Week After I Got Smashed In

It’s been a week since I last got smashed in after Paradiso and on the Friday when I went for my usual Friday Night Salsa, a lot of people there came up to me and ask me whether I felt odd going dancing there knowing that it was after Paradiso that I was attacked.

To me, shit happens, I don’t want to think about it, don’t want to dwell about it. The best thing to do is move on with life. Right? Only qualm I had was that my right hand’s still in pain. It’s a tad hard for me to lead a girl in dance when it’s hard for me to raise my hand up or twirl a girl (cause I need to use my wrist to spin the girl). (more…)
