Singapore River Fesitval & Nuffnang SG Pajamas Party
This is a photo heavy post…. wait… all my post have loads of photos… oh well… Went with the Nuffnang Singapore Bloggers and the Nuffies on a tour of the Singapore River Festival when I was at Singapore. Quite an interesting adventure walking from Clark Quay to Boat Quay to catch the boat for the boat ride after watching the Aerial Acrobatic performance and the stage play in Clark Quay. It’s quite tiring actually. Here’s some photos from the Singapore River Festival

Lion Dance @ Clark Quay
It’s never a proper Chinese New Year unless there’s a lion dance performance. Right? Well, to me, that is the case. And so, i was determine to capture some lion dance performance this Chinese New Year when I was out with DamienOY at Clark Quay.
As we were walking towards Hooters (which was closed for the Chinese New Year) for dinner, we walked past this stretch with loads of Asian restaurants. I think the waiters and waitresses all knew we were tourists instead of Singaporean cause they came after us like hawk going after rabbits. Anyway, we walked past this restaurant and I stopped cause I heard a lady spoke in cantonese that there will be lion dance performance shortly at her restaurant. DamienOY was like miles away before he realized I wasn’t walking along with him.
Found a nice spot to stand and waited for the performance to start and here’s a series of photos I took from the little ‘show’.
1. It started with the Dragon dance
Marina Bay & Clark Quay
Chinese New Year was spent in Singapore by taking a walk about Marina Bay and Clark Quay with DamienOY. Being all touristy, we packed our trusty cameras and started walking about starting from The Esplanade and ended at Clark Quay. Here are some photos that I took during the walk.
View from The Esplanade looking at all the high rise building ‘guarding’ the merlion.
The Merlion Park was packed with tourists.
