Season of goodwill by Raja Zarith Idris (Sultanah of Johore)
Just thought I’d share this article that’s written by our Sultanah of Johore.

If Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Isa (Jesus), a prophet respected and revered in Islam, is it so wrong to wish a blessed day for those who celebrate it?
DURING the days before Christmas last year, I wished my friends who were celebrating it “Merry Christmas” in much the same way they would wish me “Selamat Hari Raya” or “Happy Eid”.
I find it rather sad that such a simple greeting – one which I grew up with and which I have never regarded as something that would compromise or de-value my own faith – is now regarded as something so religiously incorrect for us Malaysian Muslims. (more…)

Christmas Dinner
How was your Christmas so far? As those of you reading my previous posting, i had a nice quiet Christmas at home. Yes, even dinner was at home instead of going out.
This time around, we decided to cook our own Christmas Eve dinner. Here’s what we had.
Spaghetti Bolognese
About the Singapore Countdown Party, Allan Wu’s hair and more!
This is really interesting, over the past 2 to 3 weeks, we’ve seen heavy publicity for the Party @ The Float in Singapore Marina’s Bay but with a week to go for the big event, now we see it being canceled.

I thought Singaporeans are a partying bunch? I guess everyone’s affected by the recent financial crisis that hits the World huh. I was actually looking forward to that party as I wonder how it will be like especially with all the heavy publicity and promotion on TV. I guess those that’s already made plans for the party will have to start making other arrangements eh. As for myself, you’d just have to wait and see where I’ll be celebrating my New Year. (more…)
Merry Christmas
I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and pray for a great New Year!
How was your christmas gift exchange so far? Got what you wanted from Santa? For me, this is the first time I’m celebrating Christmas away from Kuala Lumpur. A new experience yet one that I will cherish. Why? Being away from the family and all the partying friends makes me appreciate them even more. The time we spend, when together, might feel like just any other day, but now when I’m away from them, I truly understand to not take the friendship we’ve build, the bond we’ve created, for granted.
Anyway, on this wonderful day, I’d love to share with you this song. Amazing Grace, sung by Il Divo recently at the X-Factor.
