Eggs-traordinary Pan-Asian Easter Feast @ Atrium Cafe
Thanks to the invitation from Sunway Resort Group and Advertlets, I get to feast on some eggs-traordinary Easter Feast at Atrium Cafe. Located on the ground floor of the Sunway Pyramid Tower Hotel, this Easter Sunday feast can be enjoyed by all come the 24th April.

When I first stepped into the Atrium, I must say the layout of the buffet line is incredible and well planned with the Grilled meat in one spot, the Chinese styled dishes are placed in an area of it’s own while the Tandoori and Salad bar sit pretty next to the dessert counter. There’s also a wide varieties of muffins, cakes and brownies for all to enjoy in conjunction with the Easter Sunday Buffet. Looking at all these selection of desserts just give me a tingling sensation at the palate even before I started eating (more…)
SS2 Durian Feast
The atmosphere behind the SS2 police station was like a party cum feast cum Mega Sale and it truly is. There were people everywhere, 3 stalls was set up by 3 different groups (I think so since all 3 have different names) and each stalls are packed with people.

(All You Can Eat!)
All you can eat Durians for RM10, who wouldn’t want to eat? And then there’s the Durian Raja Kunyit (DRK), popular choice among every patron to that site, even though the DRK are the most expensive ones yet they are always the first to be sold out. It’s been awhile since I last experience such a rush when it came to eating fruits, I doubt that I’ll ever be so excited unless it’s another trip to binge on durians. This time around, it was all thanks to Softbunny and Fulat for heading there with me. (more…)
Ramadhan Buffet @ Hotel Maya
This Ramadhan month, Hotel Maya is sharing a great treat with the visitors to the hotel. If you’re looking for some sumptuous ramadhan spread to quench your hunger, you should check out the food on offer.

This year, the chef of Hotel Maya cooked up a wide variety of food for all, from appetizers such as assorted malay kuih and coconut water, to main courses with the likes of Ayam Percik, Ketam Bercili Garing and desserts with the range of Chef Creation Trio Malay Fusion style dessert and Serawa Durian with Glutinous rice and Date in Tea glass. Where else could you be able to experience such wide range of local cuisine in a different style. I was fortunate enough to experience all the food that was served but I shall now touch on the ones that I like.

Sime Darby’s Halia
Did you know that the Sime Darby Convention Centre has restaurants in it and not just your typical Convention Centres? Well, I didn’t know until just a week back when I was invited to dine at their Halia Restaurant. One of the two restaurants in there.

Now, heading there at 6.30pm, I was definitely quite early for dinner and judging by the aroma that encompasses the place, the food is ready to be devoured. Well, I’m definitely well prepared to eat at that time!
Buffet Dinner @ Sunway Hotel
This was shot quite some time ago but I only remember these while I was cleaning up my HDD for some upcoming projects.

Some time in December 2007, I went to Sunway Resort Hotel to have some buffet dinner and to hang out with June.P. No particular reasons and it was an impromptu thing. We head down to the lower part of the hotel to their restaurant where a crowd has already build up fighting over the buffet line.

For us, we just hung around chit chat a bit and get a place to seat, the plan was fixed and we then split up to go hunt for our preys.

Choice wise, they have quite an impressive array of dishes from the western to the eastern. In terms of the display, I can’t comment much as I mentioned earlier, hungry packs of wolves got there before us and whatever food that was beautifully displayed and decorated has since been left to suffer the faith they were there for.

While the inside served all the ready made food, they have the tapanyaki and BBQ stuff outside. Just the usual array of stuff like Chicken, Beef and Fish. Oh yeah, they also had the usual chicken and beef satay which is quite small in size compared to those Kajang satay.

In actual fact, we didn’t have much game plan when it comes to what to eat first and all, it’s all just a matter of picking what look delicious and whack those stuff first. How long were we there?

We arrived at the place about 7.45pm, the restaurant closes at 11 and we were sitting about until 11.30pm before heading over to the lobby lounge to listen to some live band.

At that time, they had a band that called themselves PUTRI performing and I can sum up their performance in one word. SHIT. Yes, that’s how I felt about their performance. It was the worst 2 hours of my life listening to them sing and the type of music they sang are limited.

I think I can sing better than them in any given day. A group of 5, out of the 5 performers, only 1 can sing and her singing can only be describe as Karaoke-ish. Last I heard from June.P, the hotel has since changed to a new band which in her opinion is better than PUTRI 10 fold.

Would I go back to Sunway Hotel for their buffet dinner? Yes I would and I would make sure that there’ll be a proper plan and to stick to that plan when it comes to attacking the food.
