BRAND’S® 14-DAY “GET SMART” Challenge

14 days ago, I was given a task, a mission impossible. a 14 day challenge to make me smarter than I already am. It all started with an email from a wacky lady asking me if I choose to accept this mission, I will be tasked to complete it in 14 days even if it means die trying and being the macho man that I am, I decided why not? There’s nothing to lose and it won’t be of any big deals. Here’s the problem, I have no idea what the mission was when I received the email, it wasn’t until I reached the destination that I realized what the mission was.

First, I had to sit through a briefing, one that was conducted first by the big honcho of the brand followed by an expert they roped in from Singapore explaining to us what is in store for us and what kind of effect the item he was about to present to us can do to our body/head/mind. That being said, we were handed our mission, all 1 box of it. Inside the box though is 14 smaller bottles. Tightly sealed and ready for action. (more…)

Castrol Football Crazy Futsal Day with Advertlets!

A Saturday before the Chinese New Year and instead of spending it going around shopping for Chinese New Year clothes, I was at Sports Barn USJ with 14 Advertlets other bloggers kicking some balls with whacky duo of Adam C and JD from ESPN’s Castrol Football Crazy show. It’s been close to 2 years since I last played futsal so I was expecting myself to be out of breath even before the start of the 1st game.

Before the start of the match, Adam C and JD split the bunch of us into 3 teams where I was put together with Bryan, Melvin, Vernon and the  sexy Brigette. With her in the team, it’s no brainer that I’m in the winning team. Even Adam C wants to get into this team with his constant reminder that our team’s the 1 he’ll join if we got into the finals. Advertlet’s Galaxy Tag Outing

It’s been awhile since I last played Laser Tag, it’s like paintball minus the paint and you play it indoor with a gun that has no recoil n shoots out light beam that disable another player’s unit for 7seconds. I hope I got you confused with that explanation so on to the real thing. A bunch of us was invited to Galatic Laser at Midvalley to check out the place and to battle each other in the Advertlets Laser Tag Battle.

Before entering the battlefield, we had to register ourselves as a trooper at the entrance where they’d also present us with a barcoded card which we use as our identification. A free for all 10minute session was held for everyone so we get a feel for the place and the equipments we were given before a team game was held. Where we formed 4 teams: Team Alpha (that I’m in), Team Beta, Team Charlie and Team Delta and given 5minutes to come up with a game plan before we head into the Briefing room to learn the do and don’t in team tournaments.
