Good Bye 2010 and Hello 2011
As the last day of 2010 come before us, I look back at 2010 and it’s challenges that I’ve gone through and at some juncture, overcome. In a way, 2010 has been a year of change for me. From moving back to KL from Singapore, to having my kids back with me. I must thank God that my parents and sisters has been the best in helping me care for the two monsters when I’m out on assignments.
One thing I can tell you for sure, it ain’t easy being a single dad but I was lucky that I can turn to my family for guidance and assistance whenever I stumbled upon some obstacles in caring for the monsters and providing for them. From having a secured 9-5 (who am I kidding, I worked in a TV station, there’s no such thing as 9 to 5) job that pays me on a monthly basis to coming back to KL and venturing out on my own where if I don’t work my butt off means I won’t get paid. It sure is a big change but in a way, despite the slow start, I am happy as I get to spend more time with the monsters at the same time doing what I love to do as a career. (more…)
KL Tower International BASE Jump 2010
Over the recent weekend, I was fortunate to be invited to catch the KL Tower International BASE Jump 2010 up close and personal. This year’s event was bigger compared to the previous years as it’s also the year KLTIBJ celebrates it’s 10th Anniversary.

With more than 100 locals and International BASE Jumpers, the public gets to catch a glimpse of some of the more fantastic stunts ever to perform from the base of the KL Tower. This is also the 2nd year the KL Tower introduced the Night Jump. More photos from the event after the jump. (more…)

Chinese New Year 2010 Celebration
The 2010′s Chinese New Year was slightly different compared to the previous few years. Different cause this would be the 1st year I am able to celebrate Chinese New Year with my kids and it’s also the year I have to rush between work, short holiday and work.

Even on the 1st day of the New Year, I had to spend a bit of time to do some work. It’s all good at the end anyway as we still manage to go through the customary visits to my Grandmother’s home in Gunung Rapat, lunch at my uncle’s place followed by more visitation to other relative’s place before completing the 1st day with a steamboat dinner with family and friends. Oh yeah, the mahjong and black jack session helps too. (more…)
