Sunrise Duck Revisit
StrippedSteph and I decided to revisit the famous Sunrise Duck Restaurant in Seapark. Told Joshuaong about it at the mamak session and ask him to bring his other half along. It was a Saturday and 11.30am was the time we arrived at the restaurant. We thought that it would be packed on a weekday, boy, it was super packed even at 11.30. We were lucky to find ourselves a table.
Joshua told us he’ll be late so without waiting, we decide to order half a duck to start off as appetizer. The standard I normally order would also come with a plate of vegetable and 2 large bowl of soups as I love to drink soup.
About 12.30, Joshua and partner arrived, by then, we were done with our half of the duck. Here’s the funny part, prior to them arriving, I decide to pre-order 1 whole duck so that when they arrive, the duck would be ready for us. The Boss Lady thought we wanted to pay and brought us the bill but I told her that we want 1 more duck and not to pay yet, she exclaimed aloud and drew the attention of the people around us. They must be thinking, why these 2 person after eating half a duck can still go for 1 whole duck. StrippedSteph and I had a good laugh looking at their expression.
Anyway, when everyone’s here. We wasted no time to attack the duck. Always good when the duck was served straight out of the kitchen so it’s still piping hot and the skin is super crispy. It took us less than 30min to clean up the plate. It was their first trip there but I can say that they wasn’t disappointed as before we left, Joshua and partner ordered another half duck to take home “for their friend”. So yah …. We believe you two.
A lunch well done. Satisfied to the max. Can’t wait for the next round.

Heard that the shop does not allow tapao anymore.
But the duck is pretty damn good.

@Angie Tan: They do allow tapau, the only thing is that if you go there late after all the ducks been ordered, you won’t be allowed to place orders. Like their sign say, Open from 11am to Sold Out.
First come first served. So is always best if you plan to eat and tapau to place your orders way in advance so they’ll note it. I’ve seen some poor guys getting turned away cause they ran out of ducks
