SS2 Durian Feast
The atmosphere behind the SS2 police station was like a party cum feast cum Mega Sale and it truly is. There were people everywhere, 3 stalls was set up by 3 different groups (I think so since all 3 have different names) and each stalls are packed with people.

(All You Can Eat!)
All you can eat Durians for RM10, who wouldn’t want to eat? And then there’s the Durian Raja Kunyit (DRK), popular choice among every patron to that site, even though the DRK are the most expensive ones yet they are always the first to be sold out. It’s been awhile since I last experience such a rush when it came to eating fruits, I doubt that I’ll ever be so excited unless it’s another trip to binge on durians. This time around, it was all thanks to Softbunny and Fulat for heading there with me.

(Durian Website!)
D24, Raja Kunyit, Udang Merah and the Durian Kampung are the more popular choice among all those that is sold, personally, I’d go for any that’s sweet. It’s quite easy to spot the nice sweet ones. In a way, I have my own secret way of finding the sweet durians that I’m after. And sorry, ain’t going to share that secret with anyone here. Maybe one fine day when we do get the chance to go for the buffet, I’d show you how it’s done.

(Rows and Rows of durians!)
The place got so popular that one of the stalls even have it’s own internet site complete with contact details and type of durians it provides. One of the more popular ones there is Donald’s as most of the crowd are packed around that stall, even I have my fill of durians there. On that day, I went for the D24s and boy, they were heavenly sweet. I could just sit there and eat my heart out until they close shop but then, that’s a tad extreme (Not like I’ve never done it before :p).

(Not So Sweet)
Aside from those place, I actually like going straight to the plantation itself and feast there. Fresh from the morning’s picking, the plantation owner would just open up whichever one you pick and allow you to eat there. And when they are not that busy, they’ll even sit there and chat with you while you feast.

(Really nice and Sweet)
Oh well, for the Klang Valley people, especially those staying in Petaling Jaya, SS2, right at the back of the Police Station is the place to go. Monday to Sunday, feast your heart out.

I ate there too a few weeks back. My family thought it was mediocre but maybe its because we did not try the raja kunyit wan. Dad claims its way cheaper buying straight from pahang so he refused to buy there lol.

@Boozie: You didn’t know?
@Stanley: Well, if you can get it straight from the source, then definitely they are cheaper. Don’t compare to the durians of yester years la. Those days, durians are all at top notch quality compared to what we have these days. Always best to just eat it as it is and not compare, if compare, then no need to eat d.
Right?
