SEA Games 2009 Mixed Doubles Tennis Finals

Went to watch the SEA Games 2009 Mixed Doubles Tennis Finals between Thailand’s Tamarine Tanasugarn, Sanchai Ratiwatana and Thailand’s Varatchaya Wongteanchai, Sonchat ratiwatana. It’s a game where brothers battle against each other with their respective partners with Tamarine and Sanchai coming out on top (winning the Gold) at the end of the day.

I won’t bore you with a game by game analysis so here’s some photos from the tournament. I didn’t get the watch the other Tennis Finals as I had to be off to the broadcast center to prepare for the closing ceremony of the SEA Games.

If you are to be involved in an important tournament where you have to play against your older or younger sibling, how would you feel? Would you celebrate your win or you would just shake your opponent’s hand and head off to the changing room? It has always curious me how siblings can handle themselves when they are battling each other in tournaments. Brothers like Michael and Ralf Schumacher, Tennis’ very own Venus and Serena Williams and also Bob and Mike Bryan.
