Real or Fake?

Have a look at these photos, in your opinion before you scroll down past the images, tell me, do you think these images are of model sets or real construction vehicles?

So after the first photo, what do you think?

How about now? 2 images for you to guess.

Well, these two are photos of real vehicles being put through some photoshop to make it look like toys, some called it the Tilt-Shift effect. No idea what it is?

“Tilt-shift” actually encompasses two different types of movements: rotation of the lens plane relative to the image plane, called tilt, and movement of the lens parallel to the image plane, called shift. Tilt is used to control the orientation of the plane of focus (PoF), and hence the part of an image that appears sharp; it makes use of the Scheimpflug principle. Shift is used to change the line of sight while avoiding the convergence of parallel lines, as when photographing tall buildings.

Of course, to purchase a lens that would do that would cost a bomb, especially for a poor person like me. So the next best thing is, photoshop.

the yellowish color of the soil did not complement with the tractor imo. thus, it didn’t really become tilt-shift.
    just my 2 cents.
