Portraits: Hitomi
Hitomi asked me recently to help her take some portraits of hers and at a recent session, these was what I took. What do you think?
Feel free to comment on the photos. All photos was shot through the AF Nikon 50mm F/1.8 glass on the Nikon D300 body.

wah, nice! The different hitomi :p looks sexy…
first two doesn’t work for me. DOF not shallow enough. railings are too clear that it becomes a distraction. perhaps stronger lighting to make the background more *absent*.
3rd one is ok, but looks overexposed on my monitor. hmm…
I like all three. number three looks a bit overexposed, i think you used at least two light sources?
in the first and second one, did u use off-camera flash or just available light?

@IonStorm: LOL. Noted. But my purpose was the make sure evrything is in detail rather than have a bokeh background.
@IHSAN: yes, 2 light source, but to my monitor, it’s not overexposed and I like it at this brightness. The 2 photos before it is off-camera light. Single SB600
@Tian Chad: Purposely put her in the middle, I have one that’s at the side but it doesn’t work for me.
@Hitomi: LOL, if your leg were to position normally, you’d look very odd.
@EV: LOL … can can .. we can always arrange a shoot. :p
