Perseids Meteor

2am, despite the slight drizzle in my area, I decide to venture out to some other parts of KL in hope to capture the Perseids Meteor. This image was captured around 3am just when I was giving up, stacked 5 exposures together on the camera, trigger by remote with mirror lock-up to minimize any shakes. It’s not exactly like what we see anywhere else but heck, it’s not often that I get to capture a faint image of the meteor shower right?

I actually duplicate the images on top of each other via photoshop in the hope to brighten the showers up so we can actually see it here but I think my attempt at it just make it look fake. Anyhow, this is the only one of two I manage to capture with a faint hint of a meteor shower. The other one looks pathetically like this.

One of the problem we have here is the haze that envelopes the city and the heavy cloud. So it’s really more of a game of catching the right timing for the cloud to give way before we could snap. When I caught the above images and showed it to the guys around me (Despite the D300′s small display), they were more excited than I was with what I’ve captured. Anyway, haze and heavy cloud is just a bad enemy when we want to captWhat do you think?
