Nuffnang SG Gathering & Surprise Advance B’day Celebration

The Venue

20th September – with 5 Malaysian and 1 1/2 Malaysian, it was a small gathering of Malaysian Nuffnang bloggers in Singapore, well… not really. There was 15 of us that night so you can do the maths and know how many Singaporean Bloggers are there too. The youngest ones being 14 years young. I remember at that age, my mummy would have told me to stay home at night and don’t go out late. LOL

Anyway, it was fantastic to meet up with these bloggers and they even have a surprise for me, a very advance one (2 weeks ahead of the actual date - OCTOBER 6). I knew something was amidst when StrippedSteph and Nuffy-Cherie was whispering away and then BossMing comes up to me and ask me whether I was my birthday. I was like… “eh….. there’s someting fishy going on here…… why Ming suddenly pop this type of question wan? When knowing well we’re here for a small gathering of bloggers from Malaysia and Singapore.”

Anyway, i just brushed it aside, start asking around where to sit and so forth and how many people unaccounted for and so forth before BossMing suggest to head over to the famous Chicken Rice stall just around the corner. Now, getting 15 people to sit down is sure hard, everyone’s talking and everyone’s trying to remember who is who. Seriously, I’ve forgotten who is who by now cause I’m very bad with names…. so sorry.

Anyway, after everyone’s seated. BossMing got the ball rolling by introducing himself and what they are doing there and so forth before getting everyone to do their own round of introduction. After that little formal segment was done with. I was thinking of going to walk about to see what kind of food I could order there but was told that all the food’s been ordered so just sit down and wait for them.

That’s when StrippedSteph and Nuffy-Cheryl came out of no-where and start singing happy birthday. I was wondering who’s birthday it was before they chuck the birthday cake in front of me and say HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I was like “Ei…. My b’day is not now lah… it’s in October 6!!!!” And SS said since I won’t be down on my birthday, they decide to celebrate it earlier for me. So… THANK YOU!!!! It’s very nice and touching. I’ve not had a birthday celebration with so many people celebrating it me.

The Nuffies then went to work cutting the cake up and dividing them to everyone when the actual food ordered arrived. I was like wondering who go and ordered so much food and who to pay to (Ming was busy going around ordering food when everyone else was busy introducing themselves). After every dish ordered arrived, Ming announced that the food is all sponsored by Nuffnang Singapore. WAH!!!! SO MUCH FOOD!!! All Paid for! So nice!

More photo taking happened as BBPiglet snapped away happily at every single thing that happened. Regardless whether we are posing or eating. Let’s hope some of the censored photos doesn’t end up on her blog or somewhere that people can have access to! StrippedSteph and I bid farewell to the merry bunch at 9.30pm as we got the signal to move to another venue for round 2 of partying… well, not really partying, just meeting up with Cheryl0202 and her BF at Clark Quay. Some chat and some catching up with each other life’s later we made our way back to the MRT off to the respective homes. If we missed the MRT, we’d have to get home by cab which is quite expensive. That’s why, even if partying in Singapore, by 11.30pm, must say bye bye unless we drive or have people to share the cab fare with.

Well, it sure was a good night for me and I’m happy to meet with these bunch of fun bloggers from Singapore. Where else would you find people who’d do an impromptu YMCA song in the middle of the food court? Thanks again to everyone who made it for the little gathering.
