New Logo for Mike Yip

As you guys know, these days, we have to watermark our images as tend to be used by a lot of people, especially when it comes to event photos. If you’ve not seen my watermark before (so what were you trying to see the few times you came in here if it’s not for the photos?), here’s how it looked like. Simple, intrusive and positioned at the lower right of the photo.

Well, here’s a new one designed by Splashmilk for my studio works. One that in a way slightly hidden if placed correctly and look like tattoo on the subject’s body. I’ve been wanting to do one as there were times that having a watermark on the image isn’t just enough as it does sometimes spoil the overall feel of the image. So I present to you…

What do you think of the logo? I like the simplicity of it which makes it intrusive even if I embed it onto the model/subject itself. It looks nice as a “tattoo” design on the image. But that’s just me, what do you think?

The second one don’t have link. I like the first one!

I like the 1st one as well. The second one might just be mistaken as a cool tattoo. Not really showing the ownership of the photo.

Nice new watermark, but some who dunno its a watermakr may think its a real tattoo. I dunno abt others, but 1st one is more of an obvious watermark, which I dont think pple will fault you much for it given that they do understand something abt copyrights :)

@A_X: LMAO … that’s the whole idea, it’s meant to be subtle so that when they do use it, i can whack them kau kau and let them know who owns the image. :p

@Feliza: Yeah, I figured I’d be using both at the same time but these days, everyone knows Photoshop so they will just go and remove the really big ones and sometimes, forget about the “tattoo” version thinking that it’s part of the photo. :D That way, when it’s spotted, I can give them a good scolding and all. :D

Yeah I get what you mean, Mike. I did thought of that too, like esp for those pics that can be cropped. But even so, if that happens, we kinda know who’s the leecher. Btw, how did you do the “M”?

  • Michael Yip

@Feliza: How did I do the M? Photoshop
