Attended the launch of MASiF2010 (Music, Arts and Style International Festival) yesterday where the organizing team of MASiF2010 introduced to the media the concept behind this upcoming event. Geared to be a ‘fusion of culture’, it is a first of its kind and will be a celebration of diversities of music, art and style in Malaysia. To be held from the 15th – 19th September 2010, it is also to celebrate Malaysia Day in a big way and there’s no bigger location than in the country’s premier shopping paradise – Pavilion Kuala Lumpur.
From the presentation that was shown, it’s going to be a 5 day, open gala celebration held both indoor and out of the Pavilion with the indoor event space exuding the ambience and character of class and exclusivity while the exterior zones will highlights the street culture and urban lifestyle.
The MASiF2010 is a collaboration between the Bumiputra Designers Association, Majlis Muzik Malaysia, Youth Malaysia, DBKL and various government agencies. And guess what? If you don’t know it by now, the celebration will also fall on the time our muslim friends celebrates Hari Raya! So for the muslim people, looking for a place to celebrate during the raya period.
