Last year, I was there when they launched the Chocolate Truffles variant of Magnum’s premium Belgian Chocolate. Last night, to herald the arrival of Magnum’s 4th variant – choco-cappuccino, Magnum brought together a caterie of socialites, celebrities and luxury aficionados in a star-studded soiree at Shook! Starhill Gallery to launch new flavor with a bang!
Hugo Verkuil, the MD of Unilever Malaysia said, “The iconic Magnum has always been a symbol of luxury and pleasure, Last year, we successfully introduced the Magnum Ice Cream featuring Premium Belgian Chocolate in every bte. I am pleased and proud to see the positive enthusiasm from Magnum lovers all over Malaysia and I am certain the arrival of this new Magnum Choco-Cappuccino will serve to be another regal decadence! After all, Malaysians love their coffee and now, they get their daily fix of cappuccino in the most indulging way – coated in thick “cracking” Belgian Chocolate!
Aside from the launch of the Ice Cream, the other highlight of the night was a fashion showcase with signature looks by four luxurious pieces by Eric Choong, Michael Ong, Granoff’s and Zang Toi. Joe Flizzow took to the stage to pump up the vibe with his energetic sounds as the models strutted down the runway to the applause of the attendees.
Fueling the excitement of the glamorous evening was also the appearance of four beauty queens – Miss Malaysia World 2009 Thanuja Ananthan, Miss Malaysia World 2010 Nadia Heng, Miss Malaysia Universe 2010 Nadine Ann Thomas and reigning Miss Malaysia universe 2012 Kimberly Leggett who took to the stage to unveil Magnum’s new variant.
Magnum also announce its “Magnum Fashion Royale Contest” on facebook.com/magnum where consumers will get an exclusive opportunity to walk home with a customized couture piece and a magnum inspired accessory specially designed by Malaysia’s most luxurious labels. Played with the contest, seems quite easy if you’re used to playing match the image games.
