LA Laker’s Jordan Farmar

Those that knew me long enough knows that I’m a huge fan of the LA Lakers, I practically grew up watching the team battle it out day in and day out under Magic Johnson before his tragic retirement due to HIV.

From then, there was a slump in form before Jackson came in as the team coach and brought the franchise back to where it’s supposed to be, the top! Even until now, whenever they play, I’ll just be hooked to the TV watching them battle it out with any teams that steps into the same court with them.

When Kobe Bryant came to Asia, I missed the opportunity to see him in action LIVE. But then, I was told that another LA Laker’s player would be in town. It was none other than the young upstart, Jordan Farmar. Alot of people say Jordan Who? Is ok that not many people knew of his name in this part of the world as he plays more as a substitute when the main force take a break between quarters.

One thing I can tell you for sure is, he’s one of the upcoming players to look out for. 2010 might see him pushing hard finally be part of the starting 5, maybe playing out of position to utilize his speed. I don’t know, I’m no NBA coach, we’ll just have to see what the LA Laker’s coach will do. For now, I am happy to see him, even though he’s bloody much younger than me and a gazillion time richer than me. GRR!
