Ken Ken Bentong Chicken Rice @ Restaurant Yat Yeh Hing
It was after a long meeting on a Saturday morning that we decide to just head over to a shop nearby for lunch (well… it wasn’t exactly a less than 15minute drive but what the heck…). The restaurant of choice was Yat Yeh Hing, just opposite St Ignatius Church (SIC) along the LDP heading towards Kelana Jaya.

Reaching there about 12ish, the place was already packed with patrons. Found us some seats and order was taken, it has been awhile since I last been to this restaurant so there were some procedures which I’ve forgotten. BenTok head over to the boiling pot of soup to self serve a few bowls of soup for the 3 of us. Lovely stuff as we can actually go get refills and they won’t tell us off unlike some other chicken rice shops I’ve been to before.

The first dish we ordered was a mixture of roast chicken and steamed chicken. The portion even for half a chicken is quite big but we were so hungry that it wasn’t a problem for us to clean up that plate of chicken.

The next dish was the Char Siew (Barbecued Pork) and Siew Yuk (Roast Pork), as we love our pork, we made sure they serve the porks with enough fats to satisfy us. They didn’t disappoint.

Of course, we need a vegetable to go with the chicken and pork right, so a plate of Taugeh was in order. Yes, there’s more white on the taugeh than green but heck, I consider it a vegetable. Proper one. :p

Will it worth a trip back for another round? Definitely! As it’s also quite near my base of operation, it’ll definitely see more of me there.

Been there, really delicious! However, I remembered seeing a note paste on the wall
that mentioned no refill of soup or it will be charged. Cheers and do keep in touch!

@Iriene: HAR… got such a note? Cause we did refill and they didn’t say anything to us. LOL
@sonnykazu: Thanks
@jfook: as I don’t really eat much vege,… bean sprouts are one of the few vege i eat.
I have read much about this place, but
wondering if the chicken rice is all worth the trip?
How about the rice?
@j2Kfm: The rice is ok la… their selling point is the chicken and the portion it’s served in.
