Interesting Photoshop Brushes

Was browsing the DeviantArt website to do some updating and came across some interesting brushes that could come in handy in upcoming work. Before proceeding further, here’s a quick ‘tip’ on how to install the brushes.

Place the *.abr files into:
Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop X\Presets\Brushes where X is the version number for your version of Photoshop.

Brushes created in Photoshop 7 or later will not work in earlier versions of Photoshop. Any Photoshop brushes should work in Photoshop 7 and later.

From the Brushes Palette in Photoshop, click the small arrow in the upper right corner of the palette, and choose load brushes. The brushes will be added to the current brushes.

Now, on to the photoshop brushes…

1. Real Feathers by Debi Chiru [Download]

Made in/for Adobe Photoshop 7

This is the fourth set of a series of feather brushes done by Debi Chiru. You can find another set which is titled Wings in DeviantArt if you like wings.

2. Manga Blood by Debi Chiru [Download]

Blood spatters and droplets brush set.

For use in Adobe Photoshop 7.0 and higher.

3. MF Splatter Brush Pack v.01 by ~Osiris2735 [Download]

All brushes are huge and hand-vectored, that way even if you are using them in a large piece they will remain good quality. Compliments and thanks to mybrokenglasses, on FlickR. He provided me with the stocks to vector for this set.

4. Tattoo Desing Brush Set by ~schmitthrp [Download]

Some Tibral Tattoo styles…

There are a lot of kinds… Skulls, Dragons, Tribals in general and much more… About 30 brushes in total.

5. Flames Fire Photoshop Brushes by *redheadstock [Download]

Brushes: 16. Version: Photoshop 7+, Photoshop Elements 2+, GIMP 2.2.6+

A set of brushes made up of various flames, including bonfires, raging fires, and candlelight.

7. Anime eye Brush by ~Squex [Download]

If you want to do cutesy anime style eye, here’s a brush for you. The Eye brush is not colored as you can see at the red marked eye!

To have the eye get the color of your choice, do a new layer after making the eye to a “colorshade Layer” and then pick the color of choose and just color the eyes!

8. Grunge Photoshop brush by ~in-vogue [Download]

If you like to create some grunge style brush strokes, this is an interesting brush you should have in your arsenal.

9. burnt paper brush by ~neronin [Download]

Looking for ways to create a burnt effect on your work? Check this brush out.

10. Panda by ~Glory-Cheese [Download]

This last brush isn’t really much, it’s only a Panda holding 2 guns, cute enough to go into my list of fav. brush.

Well, that’s about it, 10 brushes that I like and occasionally used. Not sure if there’s any other sites out there with such interesting brushes or not. Will post up if i come across similar stuff.
