Home Made Chicken Chop
It’s one of those days where I decide to whip up something for StrippedSteph instead of eating out. In terms of costing, it cost less, don’t you think? It all started with breakfast which look something like this…

But that was’t the end of it, I then decide to make my very own western food dinner for two! What’s in store? The menu for the night was Mash Potatoes, Chicken Chop and Salad topping it all off with some Sparkling wine.

Here’s how I prepare the various dishes, I do hope none of you that’s reading this get turned away cause you couldn’t stand the sight of my creation.

The Mash Potato: Ingredients are 6 potatoes, 2 eggs and some butter.

Boil the potatoes and eggs til the potatoes are soft enough to be mashed and the eggs are hard boiled. Place the potatoes into a bowl, put the egg yolks with the potatoes and add in 2 spoonful of butter. Start mashing the potatoes up as much as you can followed by the egg whites, to add the extra taste, add a few dash of black pepper and mashed til you get tired or the potato look mashed and smooth. And there you have it! The first dish.

The next dish is the Chicken chop: Chicken tights deboned, 2 eggs, half a pack of seasoned flour and cream sauce for chicken chop (prepacked type).

First up, clean the chicken thoroughly before mixing in 2 eggs. Fill the chickens up nicely with egg before dipping into the seasoned flour. What I basically do is pour in the flour on the plate, place the chicken covered in eggs onto it before adding the top layer of flour to ensure that all side is covered.

Next turn up the fire and place a clean wok over it, pour in a good amount of oil and let it heat up, to be sure that the oil is ready for cooking, just dip in your wooden/bamboo chopstick and watch the bubbles form surrounding the chopstick. Once it’s ready, put in the chicken, but make sure that you don’t splash any oil on yourself!

Fry the chicken until golden in color before placing onto a plate. The core ingredient in this dish is done, to cook the sauce, just follow the instructions in the packet.

As for the Salad, the short cut way of making it is buying the pre-packed deal from your local hypermart. We got ours from Tesco.

As for sparkling wine, in order to keep our budget low for this meal, I opt for Sparkling… RIBENAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

And so you have it, Michael’s very own Home cooked chicken chop meal. What do you think?

Sparkling Ribena for wine? Wohohoh…
Looks yummy. I should do the same thing to my girl too. =)
From the explanation it sounds easy and hopefully I wouldn’t turn the kitchen into a disaster when doing so. Thanks for sharing the tips.
So the sweeeeeet
Nice one~!
But can I ask what sauce [pouring on the CC] is that?
I would like to know the sauce recipe too!
mki88: it’s quite easy lah … just need to know what you are doing.
David: TQ
Scud: It’s the McCommick Chicken Gravy, it’s in powder form, just follow the instruction behind the packaging to make it. Very simple. I was too lazy to cook up my own sauce, maybe the next meal.
Hi, you did mentioned the chicken chop sauce is prepacked type? where can I get it?
thks, the dish looks yummy!
Hi Lim,
You can get the sauce at any local tesco outlets. you want the more expensive ones, you can go for Cold Storage.
