ELEVATE Ipoh @ S.O.S

ELEVATE

A new club in Ipoh played host to the ELEVATE party when it came to town and paint the town blue! The club in question? Sensation of Sound or more popularly known as S.O.S to all Ipoh party goers. This time of year is also the raining season but that didn’t dampen the mood for most as throngs of people was seen at the entrance waiting to go in when we arrive.

Typical of us (actually is more like Nicole and since I drove her to the venue, she dragged me into the picture) is that when there’s opportunity to get some photos taken, that’s where we’ll go for first. Am sure you will do so too to get yourself ‘immortalized’ on Facebook (That’s where most of these photos will end up in at the end of the day). Then it’s off into the venue to get ourselves and our respective guests registered before the party begins!

Also met some new friends at the venue as well as some people I met just a week prior to the party in Penang where I was racing in. The party got underway with the in-house band coming on stage to belt out some numbers. To be frank, they weren’t that impressive but who are we to judge, I’m no Simon Cowell.  To the new friends, if you stumble upon this page and wonder if I have photos, head over to my Facebook Profile!

After their 1st set, the house deejays took to the stage to belt out some commercial as well as old school beats before Elecoldxhot pull out their Signature Elevate moves to the cheering fans.

The highlight of the night, IMHO, is DJ Yasmin from Indonesia. Definitely enjoyed the playlist she had lined up. The best thing is, she remembers me as she saw me play in Jakarta! How cool is that?

All in all, ELEVATE Ipoh was one of the better ones I enjoyed but at the same time, ended on a sour note with the hooligans coming around the venue to cause problems to the club management.

Postception: What happened towards the end of the party?

– Sadly, some hooligans (Mat Rempits) just have to show up (luckily the party ELEVATE was finally over) when the club opens up it’s doors to the public and while Yasmin decide to play a longer set to the fans, they had to make a fool of themselves and spoil the mood of the night. Security of the club could not handle them and the local cops was called in to help. We had to cut our partying for the night short too because of them.  Had to become Bouncer at one point making sure all the ladies was safely behind me at the VIP area (while one oblivious one was happily going around drinking even though I told her to stay put… YES NICOLE! I’m talking about you!) before ushering them out via a ‘secret exit’.

According to a source from the club, after the cops showed up, those hooligans left and the party resumes but hey, why take the risk of hanging around right? Especially when there’s ladies about and their safety is a priority. –

There you have it, a summary of what happened towards the end, unrelated to the party but just to fulfill the curiosity of the few that wonders…
