Over the weekend, the [B] Racing Team went down to the ELITE Plus Speedway Circuit to have a go at the track as one of our practice session to work out the kinks on the Orange Demon as well as get the rust off our butts as it’s been 2 months since we last compete in any competitions.

Along with the Black TiTAN Neo, we reach the venue and found our parking spots by 8.30am and was allowed to have our course walk as the course is being run anti-clockwise and the course walk would allow us to identify some spots which we could try out different routes to tackle the course. Same circuit but different way of getting the best time as running clockwise and anti-clockwise on the circuit is quite different.

By 9am, a crowd has gathered and 6 groups of between 5 – 6 cars was formed to allow us ample time to have a go around the course. The TiTAN Suspension group consist of TOD, the TiTAN NeO as well as some of our customers. Gives us a good chance to see for ourselves how the set-up works on our customer cars while we tail them from the rear.

Weather wise, it was fantastic in the morning, with the right temperature on the track and out allowing us to get some pretty decent time. The afternoon session had some rain falling on them around 4pm but by then, we was already packed and ready to leave the circuit.

1 of the session was used to try and have a go at clocking some lap time and out of the 3 laps, we manage to do the following:
Lap 1 – 58:61
Lap 2 – 59:91
Lap 3 – 59.38

Had to do slower time towards lap 2 and 3 as I came up to slow traffic at the turns. But it is still a good time considering I was driving and also timing myself at the same time. Yup, I timed myself as the group was all on track at the same time and I only decided to do some timed run as I was waiting for my turn to run on the grid.

In the afternoon during the break, we even have the classic cars going down to the track to have a go. Took the opportunity to drive the VW around the circuit much to a lot of VW fans enjoyment as I must say, the VW was beautifully built and maintained.

All in all, it was a fantastic day out. Videos from the car cameras will be posted up soon but for now, if you want to check out more photos from the track day. Head over to my Facebook Gallery here.

This weekend, we will be in Kedah for the Karnival Motor Kedah competing in the Gymkhana competition, so friends in Kedah, do come and give us some support. Will post up more information soon about the venue and time once we received our updates from the organizers.
