Hogs Breath @ Vivo City

This should have gone up some time back but haven’t got around to do it. There had been talks about this place known as Hogs Breath and there was on located at Vivo City. There’s live band entertaining all the patrons of the restaurant but one thing I’d like to say is that, they started off nice but as the evening draws on, they start to get louder and louder. Basically it was just so noisy that we had to go off rather than hanging around to enjoy a few pints of beer.

The waiters was quite efficient though, we were ushered to our place without much delay and our orders promptly taken when it was needed to so no complains from there. What we ordered?

Combo: Half Rack Pork Ribs and 200 grams Prime Rib of Beef – I ordered the combo, char-grilled pork ribs and medium cooked beef, the pork ribs was prepared perfectly but then, it’s hard to go wrong with pork. Served with some salad and fries which is fine by me. I wanted the mash potatoes but the mash potatoes was prepared with cheese.

Natural Prime Rib – For the prime rib fans, char-grilled, tender and mouthwatering. The meat ordered was medium cooked and it was prepared as ordered. Some places just doesn’t know how to prepare it the way we want it. Served with corn on cob, vegetables and mash potatoes.

Mississippi Mud Cake – Supposedly Hog’s Breath’s special mud cake, it’s served with cream and ice cream.

I would go back to the restaurant again if they’d lower down the volume on their band. Food wise, it’s good. It’s the live band’s noise that irritates me.
