Yes, these are all camwhore photos and there’s a lot of them. So if you want to look on, be prepared to wait for some loading time, especially those of you who still uses Streamyx. Cause I know I did. Anyway, just a quick round-up on the night and what I think of the party, the second one held at MIECC that I’ve attended. Crowd started to gather and head in around 8.30ish but the bulk of the crowd only turn up at 10 and their complain was, there was just too much people. Well, I could only say is, the registration counter opens at 8pm, you should have thought about this before coming in at the same time as everyone else right? Some of those that uses their brains came early, registered, and then head over to Mines Shopping Mall for dinner before partying the night away. So next round, if you know you’re going to come at the time when everyone else decide to come, don’t complain about the long line. No harm in showing up early to avoid the crowd.

The gate to the main floor officially opens at 10pm, allowing some of those who has already stepped into the playpen to have some fun at the interactive wall and the drinks, didn’t bother about all these stuff as there’s just too many people who wants to get into the games, furthermore, these are the same thing that Hennessy put up at their Artistry at Opera. By 11, the VIP area was packed with people and everyone was just crowding around the bar. I had a little “argument” with the bartenders when they refuse to give me the drinks On The Rock as they claim their directive was to have all the drinks mixed. Lucky that their supervisor was there and he was kind enough to give me some. Reason I prefer mine on the rock? Mixing the Hennessy just dilutes the drink and spoil it’s taste. So there’s no kick to it once it’s mixed, so I prefer mine undiluted, straight out of the bottle, with 3 cubes of ice. Not like it’s that strong that people can get drunk with it right?

Performance wise, I think the artists line up is getting bad year after year. Here’s how I rated the performance from last night. Park Jung Min came on, wail into the mic and yeah, that’s about all I could remember from his set. I would say it’s a good 2/5 … Landy Wen came on soon after, sang a few songs including Tong Hua (童话) that got all the Karaoke kakis to start singing along. I would rate her at 3/5. Soon after, Chris Willis came on for his set. What do i think of it? By the time I realized that he was up for his set, he was already finishing with the last song and exited the stage. 2/5 again based on the mixed reviews I get from the floor since if it’s up to me, I’d say 0/5 just because I didn’t know he was performing until it was too late.

The duo of Deejays then take on the stage to vow the crowd, first up, Yolanda Be Cool kicked off their set with their hit song, We No Speak Americano. The crowd was grooving along with them and I like their mixes, simple with good mix of old skool and new. 3.5/5 … an extra .5 points for the funny jerky platform they were playing on. At one point, had a good laugh when both of them was clinging on to the platform for dear life as it jerks forward. DJ Goldfish & Blink close the event with their set with a lot of the same tunes we hear weekly at the clubs, so with that, it’s just 2/5.

I guess at the end of the day, it isn’t really the performance on stage that make the night a good one for me, it’s the people who I got to party with. Yes, most of them eventually got wasted but still, it was fun while they were still sober. Now that this party is over, the next one would be the Black Circuit in 2 weeks time. If you’re going for that, see you there.
