Guided Tour around Bali Part 3 of 3

Day 3 of our tour was quite a short one. We skip the morning tour so we could relax by the beach and the pool before we head off to the tour that was planned for us. The tour operator picked us up at noon to bring us off to Lahbagga Restaurant for lunch overlooking a vast paddy field plantation.

It was off to the Beratan Lake Temple after lunch to check out the beautiful landscape that was there. But all that was cut short as 15min into the tour, it starts to pour again. So off we all went into the van to our next destination.

It’s the Tanah Lot Hindu temple, about an hour 30 min ride from Beratan Lake. By the time we reached the place, it was just slightly past 5pm and we had plans to watch the sunset by the temple which like the previous 2 days, did not materialized due to the heavy cloud that was blocking the sun and clear sky. So it was off to do some more shopping around the shops before the parking lot for the ladies and some bored moment for the guys.

There were plans for dinner organzed by the tour operator but we decided that since the last 3 dinner wasn’t up to our expectation, we decide to cancel that and went for our own dinner in the form of Babi Guling. Was told that there are amazing Babi Guling in Ubud but the tour guide took us to the one in Denpasar. Guess he knows where he can get better deals (and commissions) since we want to skip the one that was organized by the Tour Operator.

Day 3 ended with an evening stroll down Kuta but that’s a whole new story all together. Stay tuned for what we do on our own. I promise you, there’s girls dancing in bikini, excellent music and beautiful beach.
