Guided Tour around Bali Part 2 of 3
The 2nd day of our holiday in Bali saw us heading to a Batik factory to see how they produce batik clothes, it was an interesting moment for me as it reminds me of how I used to do this in school as part of my art syllabus. There were also a shop located in this place where you can buy some locally made batiks which none of us was bothered with.

We continued the tour by heading to a traditional Barong and Kris Dance where a traditional stage performance tell us a tale of Good vs Evil. It was a blast watching the performance and the performers I believe are so used to having tourists with cameras that they know where to look for us to get the shots we needed.

Here’s 3 videos from the Barong Dance to give you an idea of what I watched.
1. The Barong and the Hanuman
2. The King’s Consorts
3. The Battle between Good & Evil
After the performance, we were brought to Kintamani village for lunch where we get to watch an active volcano slowly puffing away it’s smokes while knowing that potential victims are there near it having lunch.

As the day draws on, the dark cloud of rain start to fill the sky, according to the tour guide, this is the raining season so every afternoon, this place will start to rain.

We also went to Trisna Bali to try out some local coffee and for the brave, the Kopi Luwak. Basically coffee seeds produced from animal shit.

Ubud was the next destination where we get to visit more temples but by then, the skies has open up and started to pour so not much could be done there but to wait out in shelters for the rain to stop.

We also head off to a nearby market for the girls in the tour to do some shopping.

Day 2 ends with many many bags due to the shopping frenzy, a short unexciting dinner and it was back to the hotel for rest. Next post will be on Day 3 and Day 4. So do come back for that part.

@yapthomas: not all the performance la, just a few only. There were 5 scenes, only recorded 3 scenes cause camera running low on battery so was being selective of which one to focus on.
