Creating Art through photography?

These sunset shots by the beach was shot along the same time as the lalang shots but instead of just posting up the photos as what I normally do, this time around, I tried to play around with photoshop, to see what kind of effect I can turn up with all those filters, plug-ins and actions. Here’s what I’ve gotten at.

What do you think of these photos? I know that there’s many areas I can improve to achieve the same results as some of those photographers I see out there. Well, it’s all about trial and error for me. More of these photos on my flickr.
