Clarke Quay & Fullerton: Day & Night

By Michael Yip | September, 2, 2010 | 1 comments

On a recent trip down to Singapore, I join up with some backpackers from around the world (there’s 2 Japanese, 1 Indian from UK, 1 Vietnamese from Ireland, 1 American, 2 Spaniards and a Greek) on a little walk around Clarke Quay and Fullerton area. Well, a little walk cause it’s all inter-connected and we basically walked from Clarke Quay all the way to Fullerton and back.

Here are some landscape shots from the whole little walk. The local municipal was in the midst of preparing for the Singapore F1 so there’s a lot of areas where they have started to put up boundaries, fences and so forth making some of the more scenic shots look plain ugly.

The Clarke Quay/Boat Quay area by the River.

Another shot of the Clarke Quay/Boat Quay area, trying to capture the moon along with the day shot and tried (and failed) to capture the lights of the stars in the night shot.

The Marina Bay Sands if you’re standing where the Merlion is standing.

Standing at the platform facing Merlion and the skyscrapers behind it.

A parting shot looking at the Esplanade area. The YOG was going on at that time so a torch was ablazed on the floating platform.

Hope you enjoyed this Day & Light Series. Do feel free to comment.
