Chicken Rice Ball @ Kedai Kopi Chung Wah
The Malacca Road Trip is never complete without some meals and the 1st stop upon arrival was the famous Chicken Rice Ball restaurant that everyone say must go to. The Restaurant is also famously known as Chop Chung Wah or 中华茶室, located just at the entrance to Jonker Street, you will not be able to miss it.

If you’re driving, there’s some space just before the restaurant that you can park at. If you’re heading there for lunch, try to be early or get someone to start lining up as there will be a line outside the restaurant from as early as 11.30am onwards and the place closes once they run out of chicken.

The meal for two will set you back by about RM 13-15, A plate of 5 Rice Balls itself cost RM 1.50. The Rice Balls are quite compact and for guys, 5 rice balls will normally not be enough for guys. The Hainanese styled steamed chicken is tender and is chopped to bite size, i suspect, to help the tourists to eat faster so they could move off and allow the other customers in.

From the time I got in til the time I left, the traffic never stops, people get up and leave and before you can say Chicken Rice Ball, another group would have planted themselves on those vacant seats. Of course, do respect the traffic warden aka the lady boss unless you want to be lectured in front of the other customers.
