Chelsea vs Malaysia

The final score was Chelsea 2 – 0 Malaysia. For those of you who still lives in the caves, yes, Chelsea (not the Clinton girl) came to Malaysia and entertained an almost packed stadium to some english style football against our Malaysian selection which put up a valiant fight.

The Malaysian keeper made some pretty good saves to keep his goal mouth out of the onslaught of Chelsea with only 2 goals due to defensive errors. Our midfield worked hard to stop the advancing english team but sadly, our forwards’ finishing power was pathetic. Out of the tries they made, only 2 connected with the keeper and I doubt the keeper even felt any force in the ball unlike those Canonball shots that an english footballer can produce.

Chelsea on the other hand, allowed the Malaysian team have a good run in the 1st half and had most of the action near the Chelsea goal mouth, which I must point out isn’t good at all cause from where I was sitting/standing, I couldn’t get a good shot of the action! This repeats again in the 2nd half when Chelsea decided to turn up the firepower and started attacking the Malaysian goalmouth which once again, left the photographers near where I’m standing with nothing else better to do but to start screaming at the Peter Cech (and Gudicini when he replaced Peter Cech) hoping to distract him.

Anyway, I reached there about 6ish, parked my car near the row of shops hoping to be able to leave the stadium into a smooth traffic (boy, was I ever wrong). Met some people I recognize from a previous events when they came by to say hi and wonder why was I there with all my gears. After the little chit chat, I got myself into the stadium and found a nice place to plant myself for the match.

At half time, saw Ringo and KY coming towards my direction and they were there to watch the game for awhile before they decide to go off and beat the traffic. I should have left at that time as it’s only 5minute to the final whistle but heck, I was hoping for some further action from the game and so, I stayed around.

After the final whistle, I made my way out and to my horror, the whole stretch of road on both side was jammed pack with cars! Looking at the time when I got into the car, it was 11.15pm, I then decide to go to Asia Cafe for my dinner but by the time I reached Subang, it was already 12.10pm. Almost an hour in the traffic just so I could get to the Glenmarie exit about 2km away from where I was. It’s crazy!

So, how many of you went? Did you enjoy the match? Were you unfortunate enough to get stuck in the traffic crawl out of the stadium? Come share with me your experience at this game.

Shah Alam stadium always like that la… Although there are multiple route, but still damn jammed after high profile football match. Bukit Jalil little bit better since there are a few public transports option we can choose, train and bus. They should built the Batu Tiga komuter nearer to the stadium lah.
